Decent Sunday lunch, the food felt like a good home-cooked meal. The beer was fine and the price was reasonable. Staff were friendly enough, though the place got a bit loud later on.

Popped in on a whim. The spicy lamb skewers were spot-on, really well seasoned. The vibe was buzzing, maybe a bit too loud for a proper chat, but that's fine. Solid spot for a casual bite.

Been coming here for years. Food’s always solid, never had a bad meal. Prices are fair. That’s it really.

The food is consistently delicious and beautifully presented. Dishes such as the fish and chips, mushroom risotto, and sticky toffee pudding are particular highlights, showcasing the chef's skill and attention to detail.

No. 8 of Local Restaurants in Newcastle upon Tyne

Service was spot on. Attentive but never pushy, even mentioned a kids-eat-free deal. The acoustics were a real plus, could actually hear my friend talk. My only note is the wine list felt a bit limited for the price point.

Spring onion pancakes were the star for me - crispy edges, fluffy inside. Dumplings were decent, but the pancakes really hit the spot. Service was friendly and quick. Solid lunch spot.

Been coming here for years. Staff are always friendly and quick, even when it's packed. You'll want to book ahead, especially on weekends. The food's reliable, which is what matters.

Booked ahead and glad we did – it was packed! The place is really clean and tidy, which made it easy to just relax and chat with my mates. Perfect for a casual catch-up.

Really enjoyed the Sunday lunch here. The roast chicken was so fresh and tender, you could tell it was quality. Portion was generous too. The side salad had crisp greens, a nice touch. A solid spot if you care about good ingredients.

Fish and chips done right. The batter's light and crispy, and the cod is always fresh. Chips are spot on, never soggy. A proper classic.

The food is pretty good here, especially the pasta dishes. Prices felt fair for what you get, which is decent quality. Portions are fine, not huge but enough. A solid choice for a casual meal.

The service here is solid. Staff kept our drinks topped up without being overbearing. The waiter suggested the lamb dish, which was a good call. It's the kind of attentive but relaxed service that keeps me coming back.

The menu's huge, which is nice, but honestly the best bit was how clearly they mark everything for allergies. Felt so much more relaxed just glancing at it.

Been going here for years, staff are always quick and friendly. Last time my son was with me, he's autistic, and they handled it really well. Just made the whole thing easy.

The cod was cooked fresh to order, which you don't always get. The batter was nice and crisp, and the fish inside was still perfectly moist. A solid portion for the price, too.

The tandoori grill came on a regular plate, not a sizzler, which was a bit disappointing. The meat was quite tough.

Been here a few times for a quick bite. It’s a decent spot for a casual meal or a pint. The food’s good, plenty of choice. Staff are friendly, never feel rushed. 👍

The roast chicken was spot on, juicy and full of flavour, just like a proper home-cooked meal. The menu had a good few options to choose from. It's a clean, tidy place and the staff were really pleasant. I'll definitely be back for more.

The flatbread is homemade and just incredible. The sides and dips are a nice touch.

One of the best halal dine in, if you are in Newcastle.with almost 70 plus items, value for money. The staff is very well mannered. The food quality is great.I will recommend it if you are around.

The cheong fun with crispy dough was a standout. Really good when it's fresh and hot. The salted egg buns were decent too. A solid choice for a quick bite.

Decent buffet with a good mix of Chinese and English options. Everything was kept hot and the staff were quick to refill the trays. A solid choice for a casual meal, though it did get a bit busy later on.

Been coming here for years. The Sunday roast beef is always spot on, especially with that homemade Yorkshire pudding. It's why I keep coming back.

The pour-over coffee is always spot on. I really liked the CBD green mint tea too, it was a nice, calming find. The whole place just has a really relaxed, quiet vibe that's perfect for a slow morning.

Got seats at the bar without a booking, lucky! Full menu available. Food came out super fast, perfect for a quick lunch. The barramundi was decent. Good spot when you're in a rush.

Gluten-free options are solid, they use a separate fryer. The batter came out crisp, no issues. Good to have a reliable choice for dietary needs.

this is a lovely place to dine.... staff are attentive, welcoming and very polite. Food was delicious, special effort made by them for my granddaughter's birthday. Lovely afternoon, frequent this often.

Popped in for lunch. The tempura prawns from the buffet were really fresh and crispy. You can tell they're cooked to order, which is nice. Bit of a queue though.

Been here a few times now. The lamb curry is always spot on, really tender. That's the one I keep coming back for.

A nice family-run Italian in Jesmond. The atmosphere is lovely and homely, good for a quiet dinner. Service was consistently fine, though the pasta was a touch under-seasoned for my taste. Decent spot overall.
