Stopped by for lunch near the chapel bridge—spot’s super convenient. Food was solid, nothing crazy. Had the schnitzel, crispy enough, though the salad on the side was a bit sad. Staff mostly friendly, but one dude with a man bun seemed like he didn’t wanna be there. Still, others picked up the slack. Fine for a quick bite if you’re in the area.

Service was friendly, no complaints there. Place had a nice vibe too. I grabbed the venison schnitzel and it was pretty solid. Fresh ingredients, you could tell. Good spot for a quick lunch if you're in the area. Not fancy, but it does the job.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Steak was cooked properly, no complaints there. Nice spot up above the city, view helps. Wine list is solid too. Service was friendly, didn't have to wait long for the food. Good if you want a decent bite without the fuss.

Service was quick, even for a self-service spot. One cashier really helped sort out a lost delivery order from a third-party app glitch—went out of her way. Didn't have to, but she did. I grabbed a glass of the house red while waiting, decent enough for the price. Solid stop if you're in the area.

Lunch menu’s solid for the price. Basel isn’t cheap, so this felt fair. Food was decent, nothing crazy but consistent. Good spot if you’re nearby and hungry.

The roasted veggie pizza caught my eye—fresh mozzarella and basil, veggies actually grilled well. Nice to find a place with proper vegetarian options that don't feel like an afterthought.

Loved finding this little garden spot by the tracks. Pizza crust was properly thin, and the owners made it feel super welcoming.

Big portions. One fried rice was enough for two of us. Tasty and the staff spoke decent English. Good spot near the SBB station.

The schnitzel was solid. Big portion, came out hot, and the breading stayed crispy all the way through. For the price, especially with the student discount, it's hard to complain. Right by Barfüsserplatz, so it's easy to stop in for a quick lunch. Maybe not the most mind-blowing food in Basel, but it does the job.

This restaurant offers a stunning view of the Rhine, making it a perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a special occasion.

The falafel dürüm was really good, and they brought me free tea while I waited. Fair price too. The seating area felt a bit cramped though.

Stopped by for a quick dinner and the kadhai paneer really hit the spot. Spicy but not overpowering. They also brought out a small tadka dal on the house, which was a nice surprise. Sagar checked on us a couple times, made sure everything was alright. Solid spot if you're craving Indian in Basel.

The five-course tasting menu was easy to adapt for vegetarian—no fuss at all. Really appreciated how fresh the vegetables were in each dish. Staff stayed attentive the whole evening.

The beef tartare was spot on — fresh and seasoned just right. Plating looked great too. Solid pick if you're into that.

Stopped by for a late lunch. The galettes are solid, buckwheat comes through properly. Had the classic ham and cheese, did the job. Cider selection is decent too. Place is small, gets busy fast, so booking ahead makes sense. Service was efficient, no complaints. Price is fair for what you get in Bern.

Stopped by for dinner and grabbed the strozzapreti with porcini and truffle oil. That was the highlight—rich, earthy, pretty damn good. Pizzas were fine too, nothing crazy but solid. Service was quick, no complaints there. Place was a bit busy but we got seated right away. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Stopped in for cocktails—strong, properly made. Interior feels like old Paris, kinda cool. Had the tartare with fries, solid pick if you're hungry.

Ordered the mixed platter for two - oxtail croquettes were the highlight. Portion size was right, food came out properly seasoned. Service was efficient, no complaints. Solid spot if you're in the area.

The rooftop terrace view over the Rhine is really something. I had the tagliatelle with local chanterelles—fresh and tasty. Just wish the seating had been a bit more comfortable.

Stopped here for a glass of red wine and sat on the terrace watching people pass by in the old town. Staff were friendly enough, no complaints. Wine was fine, though the glass felt a bit small for what they charged. Nice spot if you just want a quick break, but don't expect huge pours.

Friendly staff for sure, and the vibe is relaxed even when it’s packed at lunch. They kept things moving fast, so no stress. Just wish the seating was a bit more comfortable.

The menu’s small, but the execution is solid. Quality ingredients, well-prepared. Staff knew their stuff and gave good recommendations. Worth a stop.

The gluten-free pizza was actually really good—crispy base, decent toppings. Service dragged a bit even though it wasn't full, but I'd still come back for the pizza.

Stopped by for a Negroni. It was properly made, strong enough. Staff was attentive without hovering. Place has a decent vibe, not too loud for a conversation. Good spot if you're in Bern and want a solid drink without the fuss. I'd come back.

Helena plate and chicken salad were solid. Chips were good, and the welcome drink had a real kick. Nice touch, though service could've been a bit faster.

Stopped by for a drink after work and honestly the cocktails are spot on. I had something gin-based, super balanced, not too sweet. The place has this chill vibe, easy to just sit and chat. Bartenders seemed like they actually liked being there, which always makes it better. Only thing, it got a bit busy later, but still fine.

The Masala Dosa here is solid—CHF 9.50 with sambar and chutney, pretty fair for Basel. They've got idli and vada all day too. Staff was friendly, didn't have to wait long.

The pizzas were excellent and a doggy bag was provided for the left overs. I would love to have ordered desert and coffee. However, the waitress was so involved in a conversation with some other customers and the went inside and wasn't seen again. We decided to go and paid at the counter! The music was also very loud outside.

Stopped by for a quick dinner and the cordon bleu was solid. Rösti hit the spot too. Place has that cozy local vibe, easy to just hang out with friends for a bit. Service was chill, not hovering over us.
