The new owners made happy hour so much more fun! Perfect spot to grab a drink with friends.

This place feels so cozy. I really enjoyed their red cabbage and spätzle sides. The cabbage was fresh and had a nice crunch, which I always look for. The spätzle tasted very homemade, not heavy at all. A solid choice for a simple, healthy-ish meal.

Came for restaurant week with a few friends. The king crab legs were a hit, everyone was sharing and cracking them open. Tiramisu was a nice sweet end to the night. Good spot for a group dinner!

Loved the casual, unpretentious vibe here. We grabbed seats at the bar and just chilled. The little nautical details in the decor were a nice touch. Perfect for a low-key date night.

Owner gave me a taste of carnitas while I waited. Just felt like a friend's kitchen. That kind of hospitality is rare.

Weekday lunch special isn't the deal it used to be. Still, the Panang curry and crab rangoon are solid.

The masala fries are a must-order side! They're so flavorful and perfect for sharing with friends.

Nice spot with a warm vibe. The food is fresh and portions are decent for the price. Service was friendly, though a bit slow on a busy night.

The string lights on the patio are just right. They had the heat lamps on for us, which was a nice touch on a chilly night. Felt cozy and warm out there.

The warm baguette and butter they bring out before the meal is a nice touch. It's a small thing, but it really makes a difference while you're waiting.

Sangria was solid. Not too sweet, which I liked. Had it with the baked goat cheese app. That cheese dish though… so good with the bread. Went back for more bread just for the sauce.

They decorated our table for our anniversary. It was a really nice touch, made the whole evening feel a bit more special. The little details like that mean a lot.

Huge menu, perfect for a group. Server knew it inside out and helped us pick. Got my chicken bowl in under 10 minutes. Solid quick lunch spot.

The French dip sandwich was really good. The prime rib was lean and flavorful, and the au jus was delicious. The booths are comfortable and spaced out nicely, which made for a relaxed lunch.

The gluten-free crust was a game-changer for me. Finally got to dig into a proper Chicago deep-dish without any worries. The place itself is pretty cozy, with these nice wooden booths.

Stopped by for a snack and got the dip sampler. The hummus really stood out—super fresh and flavorful. Presentation was nice too. A solid choice for a quick bite.

Been coming here for years. Michael always remembers my usual order, and he's just as sharp and on top of things as ever. That kind of consistent, solid service keeps me coming back.

If you're looking for a place to watch a game, Bub City is perfect! With screens everywhere and a lively atmosphere, it's a great spot to enjoy food and drinks with friends.

No. 10 of Local Restaurants in Chicago

Solid spot for a client dinner. The wine selection is good, and the atmosphere is professional without being stuffy. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Prices are on the higher side, but it's expected for the location.

Lexie was on top of things for our group of 15. She kept checking in, refilling drinks before they were empty, and handled the split checks without any fuss. Made a big dinner so much smoother.

The cowboy cut steak was cooked exactly how I like it, and the cheesecake was so creamy. You can really tell they put a lot of care into everything here.

Came with coworkers. The space felt so open and airy, really liked that. The menu had a lot of options, and the mocktails were a nice, refreshing touch. Staff was friendly.

Lobster ravioli special was really good. The black fettuccine was solid too. Casual spot.

The ceviche was the star for me. So fresh, not a hint of fishiness. The staff were super friendly and took a minute to chat before we ordered, which was a nice touch.

The chips and three salsas they bring out are a nice touch to start. The salsas are all pretty good, each with its own flavor. Chips are always fresh, though I wish they were a bit warmer sometimes.

The Prosecco Sangria was a lovely start. That mixed grill though – the crab cake was so rich I had to take half home. Just a heads up, finding street parking took a little patience.

Salmon nicoise salad was the highlight. The salmon skin had a nice crisp, and the green beans were still crunchy. The sausage focaccia was fine, but the gouda cheese puffs are the real reason I'd go back.

The veal and meatball app were standouts, even on a packed night.

Been coming here for years. Omar and Jorge always remember my usual order, and they know the menu inside out. That kind of consistent, friendly service is why I keep coming back.
