Proper local pub. The homecooked food was fantastic. Had the Sunday roast, beef was spot on, proper gravy. Staff were lovely, made you feel right at home.

Fresh pizza, homemade dough. They do vegan cheese on all of them. Got a quick lunch here, came out fast. Probably the best slice around.

The turnip cake with XO sauce was a standout. I really appreciated the quality of the ingredients; the turnip had a lovely, fresh texture that wasn&#39;t greasy at all. A very satisfying choice.

Decent selection of classic Japanese dishes. We shared a few plates and some sushi rolls. Everything tasted pretty good and was nicely prepared. The service was a bit slow at times, but it was fine overall.

The eggs benedict was the star. Perfectly poached eggs, runny yolk, rich hollandaise. The ham was a bit salty, but the muffin was toasted just right. Solid brunch dish.

The vegetarian sunday dinner and the beef sunday dinner were excellent.Bit disappointed there was no cauliflower cheese avaiable at 6.30 pm and the Ham&amp;cheese pie apparently lacked flavour. Portions were generous, desserts excellent and staff excellent. A few tweaks and the star rating would be higher.

The prawn toast was a real treat, with those lovely juicy prawns. A nice, comfortable spot for a relaxed lunch.
