A proper cosy pub, this. The owner&#39;s a friendly chap - he was happy for us to bring in pasties from the bakery down the road. Sat outside with a pint and a pasty, just what you need.

Been here a few times, mostly for drinks. Their wine list is solid, with some interesting local options. Had the steak last visit, which was decent. A bit pricey for what it was, but the staff are always friendly. Dog-friendly patio is a nice touch.

The pizza crust was so fresh, you could tell it was made that day. The waffle had a lovely crisp edge too. Really appreciate when a cafe focuses on good ingredients, even during a busy lunch rush.
