The toasted sandwiches are spot on for a light lunch. The hot chocolate with all the trimmings is a proper treat.

Decent spot for a quick business lunch. The Nepalese Garlic Chilli Chicken was solid &ndash; good heat, plenty of meat. Service was prompt, which I appreciate. Parking is easy. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.

Rich and his team provided an amazing experience during our brunch. The drinks were plentiful, and the food was delicious. It&#39;s the best brunch we&#39;ve had, and we can&#39;t wait to come back!

The cask ales are the main draw. They had a local bitter that was perfectly kept, not too warm, with a nice malty body and a dry finish. The lager options are decent but it&#39;s the real ales that keep me coming back.

The restaurant was very busy when we arrived for our booking and so we had to wait around 15 minutes for our table.  There was plenty of variety at the carvery with several meats and lots of vegetables. The food was delicious and the service was friendly.

The carvery&#39;s a good deal with the Blue Light Card. The dining area feels spacious and relaxed, which was nice.

Great for gluten-free and dairy-free options. The staff really know their stuff when it comes to allergens, which made choosing a wine to go with my meal much easier.

Emma and her husband run the place. You can feel the care they put in. The gluten-free carrot cake was really good. Perfect for a quick, sweet bite on a busy day.

The mussels here are a real standout. Honestly, some of the best I&#39;ve had in ages. The fish and chips were decent, nice and crisp, but those mussels are the main event.

Came with a group, the sausages were spot on. Pies had a nice flaky crust. Staff were friendly, made us feel welcome. Good spot for a relaxed meal.

The place was absolutely packed on a Friday night, but the staff handled it so well. Everyone was still really attentive and calm, never felt rushed at all.

Got the butter chicken for takeaway. Sauce was really flavourful, good amount of chicken in there. Came hot, ready in about 20 mins. Solid option when you can&#39;t be bothered to cook.

Upgraded to the surf and turf from the mixed grill. Massive portion, honestly couldn&#39;t finish it all. The steak was spot on, and the prawns were juicy. Flavour was really good. Just a solid, satisfying meal.

Finally got round to trying this place. The food was spot on, really tasty. The whole vibe was just so friendly and relaxed, which was lovely.

The set menu was a great way to try a bit of everything. Portions were small, but I liked that&mdash;didn&#39;t feel overwhelmed. Everything tasted fresh and looked really pretty on the plate.

The Fisherman&#39;s Platter was lovely. The seafood tasted fresh, and the flavours were just right.

The local wine selection here is really thoughtful. I had a glass with the grilled sea bass, and the pairing was just right. It let the freshness of the fish shine through.

Been coming here for years, and they&rsquo;ve always been great with our nut allergy. Makes it easy to relax and enjoy the meal.

The lobster Thermidor was my pick. Really rich sauce, and the meat was spot-on. The garlic butter one was good too, but a bit heavy for me. Both were cooked just right though.

Having been searching for proper pub food for a while I&rsquo;ve finally found it. A warm atmosphere and deliciously presented food that tastes better than the photo can make it look. A lovely pint of Guinness and onion rings that warmed my heart. If you&rsquo;re ever near here I suggest you call in. Top Marks from me.. 👌
