A little gem tucked away in the village. Staff are genuinely friendly, not just polite. Food came out quick, which was nice as I was pretty hungry. Good spot for a no-fuss meal.

Bruce runs the whole show here, greeting, cooking, even washing up. It's a very personal touch. For the price point, you really feel like you're getting a proper, attentive experience. The portion sizes were decent too.

That signature sando was something else. The bread had a perfect crisp, and the filling was just the right balance. Coffee was spot on as well. Staff were really helpful when I asked about the ingredients. A solid lunch spot.

The crab nachos on the specials board were fantastic. The soft lighting in the room just made it feel so calm and unhurried. A really nice spot to unwind.

A very pleasant lunch spot. The Korean BBQ had a good selection of meats and the flavours were spot on. What really stood out was how friendly the owners were—they took a moment for a nice chat, which made the whole visit feel relaxed and welcoming.

The sharing platter for two was huge. We couldn't finish it all, ended up with a full takeaway box. For the quality you get, the price felt just right.

The Count House Breakfast for two was huge. Couldn't finish it all. Pancakes were fluffy, the bacon crispy. Good for sharing if you're really hungry.

The staff were so lovely. It was busy even early on, but they didn't rush us at all. I managed to knock over my cocktail (oops!) and they cleaned it up in a flash, even topped it up. That kind of grace is rare.

The brisket fajita was huge, one is definitely a meal! Loved watching them cook it fresh. The smoky chipotle sauce was just right. Perfect for a casual catch-up with mates, we ended up sharing a few.

This little spot on Newlyn street is a nice change from the usual fish and chips. The Cornish beef pasty was the highlight for me - really flavourful and the pastry was spot on. Staff were friendly too.

The food was delicious, beautifully presented and a sensible size. The staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and discreet. It was a really lovely evening.

Stumbled upon this spot. Their Sunday roast special was spot on, and the ploughman's lunch was a nice twist on the classic.

Been coming here for years. The 10-hour lamb is still the star, just falls apart on the fork. The scallops are always fresh. Those little chorizo bread rolls to start are a nice touch.

Great spot for a catch-up with mates! The portions are huge, so sharing a few plates is the way to go. Everything tasted super fresh. We left absolutely stuffed without breaking the bank.

Came back for the lamb shank, it's just as good as I remembered. The meat falls right off the bone and the gravy is rich without being heavy. A solid choice when you're nearby.

The gluten-free fish and chips were spot on. The staff really knew their stuff, especially when it came to pairing the dish with a crisp lager.

The garden at the back is such a peaceful little spot. I sat there for ages with my tea, just enjoying the quiet. It's a lovely break from the usual city noise.

The full rack of ribs from the specials menu was the main event. The meat was tender, falling right off the bone, with a sticky, smoky glaze that had a nice kick to it. Could have used a touch more of that sauce, though. The chocolate and caramel slice was fine, but honestly, I was too focused on the ribs to care much about dessert.

Even on a packed Saturday night, it never felt too loud or chaotic. Staff were still smiling and moving smoothly, which was impressive.

Food was fantastic, service was great too. The place looks a bit old, but honestly, who cares when you're in and out that quick? Perfect for a lunch break.

Been coming here for years, and the Spingo ale is always spot on. That's the main reason I keep popping back. It's just consistently good, and you can't say that about every pub. The local selection is solid, too.

Even on a packed Friday night, they sent us across the street to the pub to order and eat. Such a smart idea for when you can't get a table! We still got our full meal and it was actually a fun, lively spot to hang with friends.

Been here a few times now. The garlic chicken balti is my go-to, the flavours are spot on. The sheek kebab is solid too. It's just consistently good, you know what you're getting. A reliable spot for a curry.
