Located just a stone&#39;s throw away from Ella train station, Mandala Cafe and Bar is the perfect place to chill if you have some time to kill before catching your train. The cafe is open 24/7. It is quiet during the day and gets livelier as night falls.

Located just 5 minutes walk from Ella train station off the main street, the cafe is a hidden gem which is famous for its flavourful lamprais, a Sri Lankan dish in the form of a packet or lump of rice.

Stopped by for the Sri Lankan breakfast and it was decent. Portion size was just right, not too heavy. Coffee was pretty good too, grabbed one to go. The space itself is nice, kept coming back during my stay. Only thing is it gets a bit busy around mid-morning, but that&#39;s fine.
