Tried the mapo tofu dandanmen. It's a Taiwanese-style mapo, not too spicy but with a really flavorful peanut broth. The noodles had a great texture, not too soft. A solid portion.

Been coming here for years. I always get the Gara Soba, and I like how they serve honey on the side. Lets you tweak the broth halfway through, makes it a bit sweeter. It's a small thing, but I keep coming back for that.

This is definitely a local spot, not touristy at all. The vibe is cozy and service was quick. My only note is the portion for the price felt a bit small for what I ordered.

As expected from a top-notch restaurant, the food was exquisite and the service was attentive, making it a memorable dining experience.

A bit pricier than your average conveyor belt spot, but the fish is super fresh and the portions are generous. Perfect for a casual dinner with friends where you don't want to feel rushed.

The gyoza here are my go-to for a quick lunch. Crispy skin, strong garlic filling. Gets me in and out fast.

The conger eel was very good. I also tried the grilled broad beans and simmered black cod, which were both solid seasonal choices. The menu has a decent variety. A nice meal overall.

The Fukushima-style gyoza were really good. The skins were thin and crispy, and the vegetable filling wasn't heavy at all. I ended up eating the whole plate of 30 by myself.

Loved the counter seats, super comfy. The owner was really friendly and made us feel at home. The grilled chicken skewers were spot on, juicy and perfectly seasoned. A nice, cozy spot for a casual dinner.

The teppanyaki yakiniku set was really rich. The meat quality was good for the price, and the flavor was spot on. I should've gone for the large size, the regular left me wanting a bit more. Ramen is only 550 yen to start.

Grilled mackerel was good. But honestly, the best part is the set deal. You get all the rice, side dishes you want, and even a drink bar sometimes. For that price, it's a solid choice.

Grilled teppanyaki gyoza were the star. Piping hot and so juicy. Had them with the braised pork mazesoba, which had a nice dried fish aroma. Really hit the spot for a quick solo lunch.

Been coming here for years. The weekday afternoons are always quiet, no wait. Staff remembers my usual order, makes it feel like a neighborhood spot. That consistency keeps me coming back.

The pork cutlet rice bowl is really good. The meat was tender, not dry at all. The sauce had a nice sweetness to it, not too strong, and it went well with the rice. A solid choice.

Tried the tasting menu. Steamed monkfish liver and cod milt tempura were highlights. Good use of local produce. Fukushima sake list is extensive. Presentation is precise. A solid option for a business dinner.

Been coming here for years, and the smoking room inside the station is the main reason. It's just so convenient when you're waiting for a train. The view from the window seats is a nice bonus, makes the wait a bit easier.

The bookstore connection is nice for a quiet spot to work. The coffee price is a bit high for the portion, though.

The interior is so charming, like stepping into a different time. The wooden tables and soft lighting make it a really nice spot to just sit and enjoy a quiet afternoon. Tried the sesame monaka, and it was just right, not overly sweet.

Been coming here for years. Always take my shoes off at the door, feels like home. Their baguette is consistently good, nice crust and soft inside. That's the main reason I keep coming back.
