We have been coming to Marriott’s Praia D’el Rey Resort for many years. The hotel, the grounds, the rooms and the service are all excellent. We try to time our stay when the Emprata Restaurant is open because it is a 5*+ experience every time. The room is beautiful with its ocean and sunset views. The menu choices include fish and meats. Eduardo, the restaurant host, is remarkably attentive, professional, knowledgeable, and is determined to provide the best dining experience possible. He has made every meal perfect and his knowledge of wines is an added touch. The chef, Bernardo Vitorino, is extraordinary and super creative. The mixture of textures and flavors, combined with the visuals of a picture perfect presentation, is memorable. Emprata is fine dining at its best!

I highly recommend this restaurant for its quality food and friendly atmosphere. The view from the terrace is breathtaking, adding to the overall dining experience.

The restaurant offers an excellent dining experience with incredible food and a beautiful setting. Highly recommended for a special occasion!

An awesome place to relax, enjoy the scenery and get some extra ordinary great food. The team is splendid and we are looking forward to seeing you again soon.

All members of staff were very friendly and welcoming. Roberto was particularly attentive to our requests, and the service was great! The location was lovely, with nice views of the golf course and the sea. All in all, my husband enjoyed his birthday lunch - especially the chocolate brownie with ice cream and candles!!

Celebrated my husband’s birthday at the restaurant. It was a beautiful day and the view was wonderful. The servers were nice and attentive (especially Eduardo). The bacalhau and the roasted veggies were very tasty. The burger was just ok. Overall it’s worth a visit. We’ll be back.

Stopped by for a late lunch and grabbed the cod with cornbread topping. Really solid — flaky, well seasoned, that topping gave it a nice crunch. Ended with the pear mousse, light and not too sweet. Place has that rustic charm, pretty chill inside. Staff were friendly, didn’t rush me at all. Just a good, easy meal.

We showed up with 15 people and they handled it like it was nothing. Owner kept checking in, making sure everyone had enough to eat. Got the grilled fish and it was properly done, crispy skin and all. Place was busy but we never felt rushed. Only thing is it got a bit loud with our group, but that's on us honestly.

Great food quality and good experience/ambiance. But there is no doubts that is an expensive restaurant.

Been coming here for a while now. The wine list is solid and the staff actually remembers what you like. Last time the guy picked a red that went really well with my steak. Place looks nice too, even if it's a bit dark to take pictures of your food. Not complaining though, that's not why I'm there.

The staff were friendly and the medieval spot inside the old city gate is pretty cool. Ginja was a must-try, they even told us a bit about the building's history.

The stone soup was really good, and Helena took care of us nicely. Place is tucked away from the busy street, which made it feel more relaxed. Solid lunch stop.

Mixed grill was solid — meat came out tender and juicy. Portions are generous too. Service was quick, no complaints.

Came here on a weeknight, place was pretty quiet. They had some live music going, which was nice background noise. Food was decent, nothing crazy. Service took a while though, had to wait a bit for the bill. It's alright if you're not in a hurry.

We stopped by for dinner and Sergio totally made the night. He picked a Tourigo Nacional for us and it went so well with the pork cheeks. Those were super tender, honestly the best thing I ate in Portugal. Place was a bit busy but that just added to the vibe. Would come back if I'm in the area again 😊

This culinary team truly deserves a Michelin star for their creativity and exceptional taste. The reasonable prices for such quality make it a must-visit.

Gluten-free here is actually safe—no flour in the kitchen, grill only for meat and fish. Staff spoke clear English too. Solid spot for coeliacs.

The place has that warm, cozy vibe and we grabbed a table outside. Portions are definitely generous, no complaints there. But honestly, everything came out a bit salty for me. If you're not big on salt, just ask them to go easy on the seasoning. I'd probably do that next time.

The dining room is gorgeous and the owner actually came by to check on us. Food was so good I almost ordered a second round 😅

Good lunch spot. Pork belly was solid, potatoes were the highlight. Staff spoke English well and helped us out. Portions a bit small for the price, but fair overall.

The pasta was the standout — perfectly cooked. Pricey for the portion, but the flavor made up for it.

The seafood soup and ceviche were spot on. Wish the bread had come earlier to soak up the broth, but the flavors were solid.

Came for lunch and everything tasted super fresh. They had a daily menu thing and we just went with it — zero complaints. Good spot for a casual catch-up with friends 😊

Soup and salad for a quick lunch — turned out better than expected. The stone walls and wood beams give it real character. A glass of vinho verde would've fit right in with the vibe.

Dining in a medieval castle is a unique experience! The surroundings are excellent, and the service is on point. The food, particularly the tenderloin beef, was cooked to perfection.

Merkado offers a beautiful location with a stunning view of the lagoon, enhancing the overall dining experience. The food is fresh and made with local ingredients, which is a big plus!

When I entered in the restaurant I was a bit surprised about the ambience, decoration and service. It was a nice surprise. The food is good and the presentation also.
