We have been there before. The food and wine is very good!

Stopped by for a slice of Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte and it didn’t disappoint. Proper old-school place, the display case is huge — must’ve been 15 kinds of cake. The one I had was spot on, not too creamy, decent Kirsch kick. Prices are fair for what you get. Sat outside on the Marktplatz, weather was nice, that alone made it worth it.

Deer steak was solid. Cooked properly, not gamey at all. Place was busy at lunch but food came out quick enough. Portion size decent for the price. Would grab it again if I'm in the area and want something different than the usual burger.

Stopped by for a coffee and ended up staying longer than planned. Staff spoke English without any hassle, which made ordering easy. Had the beetroot soup and Black Forest brownie — both were solid. Place was quiet enough to get some work done. Not the cheapest, but fine for what you get.

The chicken korma was rich and creamy, the butter chicken had that smoky tang. Both were really flavorful. The place itself is clean, nice lighting. Staff left us alone mostly, which I appreciated. Maybe a bit quiet for a Friday night, but the food made up for it. Solid spot.

The fish and chips were properly done—crispy batter, flaky inside. The hostess spoke English and helped us sort the menu, which I appreciated. Sauces on the side were a nice extra. Place was a bit busy but fine. Wouldn't mind coming back if I'm in the area again.

Best burgers in town, hands down. The patty is juicy and flavorful. Got the homemade dip for 60 cents, totally worth it. Quick service for a lunch bite. Prices are fair. My go-to spot now.

Been coming here for years. The view of the river and the cathedral from the boat is still the best part. Perfect for a sunny afternoon drink.

Been coming here for years. Their pepperoni and bell pepper pizza has this distinct taste you don't find at the chains. It's just solid, reliable food.

Small and very cosy real Italian restaurant! Go there and make a reservation on forehand. You can even park your bicycle in front of you. Good food, good service en perfect olace.

Been coming here for years. The staff always make you feel like a regular, even if it's your first visit.

The gluten-free pastries are a real treat. The banoffee and vanilla choux were both very good, with lovely, generous fillings.

Stopped by after a ride. The bike racks out front are a lifesaver. Tried a couple of their beers, really solid. Just what I needed.

The staff here are so nice! We were chatting and they noticed we had a bit left, so they just brought us a box for our leftovers. Perfect for when you're catching up with friends and lose track.

Staff were friendly and kept checking in. Kebab was solid, one of the better ones around. Chips came out crispy. Portion size fair for the money.

Lovely spot tucked inside an old cloister. We sat in the courtyard, quiet enough to actually hear the birds. Coffee was solid, cinnamon roll fresh and warm. Not the cheapest, but fine for the setting. I'd go back for a quiet afternoon break.

Steak was solid, cooked just right. Salad was fresh too. Place has a nice vibe, even when the weather turned. Cash only, so come prepared. Quick enough for a lunch stop.

Great coffee, huge menu — breakfast in the afternoon works. Sandwich was decent, beer came in a proper big glass. Patio view over Marktplatz is the real winner.

Nice little spot right in Gengenbach's old town. Coffee was solid and they had plenty of pastry options. We grabbed the Black Forest cake — pretty good, not gonna lie. 😊

Tuscan breakfast was solid, eggs and bread done right. Staff actually seemed happy to help, which is rare around here. Place was busy but not chaotic, good for a chill catch-up with friends. Prices fair for what you get. Would come back if I’m in the area again. 😊

Came here with a few friends after wandering around the neighborhood. Pizza was solid—crust had that nice chew, toppings piled on properly. The vibe is super chill, we ended up staying way longer than planned. Owner came by our table and chatted with us for a bit, which was sweet. Only thing: it got a little loud later in the evening. But honestly, we were having too much fun to care 😄

We stopped by for dinner, not just breakfast, which was nice to find. I had the Unicorn salad—plenty of real chicken and a balsamic dressing that tasted homemade. My friend got the black gnocchi with pesto, also a good portion. Service was friendly and we never felt rushed. A solid spot if you want a relaxed meal without any fuss.

Stumbled into this place while wandering Alpirsbach and honestly so glad we did. The food was proper tasty, we shared a few dishes and everything came out fresh. Place has a nice relaxed vibe, perfect for catching up with friends over a long dinner. Only thing, service was a bit slow but we weren't in a rush anyway. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Decent spot for a quick bite. Portions are big, quality is fine for the price. Didn't have to wait long for my food. Nothing fancy, but it does the job when you're hungry and in a hurry. Solid enough for a casual meal.

Salad bowls are massive here. Got the big one and barely finished half. Fresh stuff, lots of different toppings, not just boring lettuce. Even my friend who hates salads was impressed. Maybe slightly pricey for what it is, but you're basically getting two meals in one. Worth it if you're really hungry.

Portions were solid for the price, no complaints there. Sat in the beer garden, pretty chill even on a busy evening. Homemade ice cream was a nice little bonus.
