Fantastic food!! The service was excellent! And a friendly atmosphere. I really recommend this special little place.

After winding, small roads leading up and up, we found Gualdo Cattaneo and the restaurant.  It was well worth the exciting trip!  Both the food and service are marvelous.  Cooking the many meats on a roaring fire produced delicious, flavorful, tender results and the rest of the considerable menu was equally yummy.  This is certainly a special, excellent restaurant.

Lovely spot in Umbertide. Food is classic Umbrian, lots of meat, mushrooms and truffles! The servings are generous. Service very attentive and smooth. Dining room is nice, plenty of space between the tables, though lighting a bit bright. Highly recommended.

Only place in the area where it is possible to get the most common and anonymous food that you can find everywhere in Italy at an outrageously high prices justified by the name dropping of a famous chef seen in tv shows. With same money spent you get to eat real good in almost every other restaurant around. Not humble, not tasty, not value for what you spend. Far gone from the traditional cuisine. They certainly will not see me again. In addition, the waiting time was around 1h for one single dish - considering the place was not full. I dont think they have recurrent customers as those who have been, will never come back. The restaurant is looking for a short term gain per customer. Do Not go.

Great grigliata mista. Service was quick and efficient. I suggest to change the lightening in the main room to make it warmer and more cozy

The food here is akin to fine dining. Poached tartufo eggs , duck and bacala cheesecake was cooked to perfection. The cheesecake desert was delicate and delicious.

For lunch, we did not see any written menu nor price. Instead the waiter read the options to us: three choices for primo, secondo, contorno and dolce. We needed to ask for the price, which 22&euro; for the set menu excluding beverages. The dishes were typical Italian home cooking - not bad, but nothing special neither.We were not able to pay with credit card (even though it was possible to check out from the same hotel).At the entrance door, you could see three recommendations of Michelin - the most recent from 2015. Possibly eight years ago, the restaurant had the quality level of Michelin recommended places, but certainly not anymore in 2023!

We eat only a plate with prosciuto, salami etc. Which was quite big and verry good quality. We will return for sure

For a four-star establishment, the service was friendly and accommodating, making the dining experience enjoyable despite some minor issues with the food seasoning.

Excellent. Delicious food, appealing atmosphere. The staff was always ready to help, and brilliant service.

We regret not going earlier to this place as it had great staff, very tasty food (the pici cacio e pepe was very good) and very fair pricing.The owner (I assume) really made our evening, with her outgoing nature. It created a great atmosphere. It&rsquo;s simple and casual but definitely a place to recommend.We will without a doubt revisit when we are in the neighbourhood again.

Take yourself to this lovely hilltop village for a wonderful meal overlooking the beautiful valley below.  The six hundred year old building has been beautifully renovated and the food features delicious Umbrian classics, some with a twist.
