The grilled fish platter was solid. Fresh, well-seasoned, decent portion for the price. Kaiserschmarrn for dessert hit the spot too. Place is a bit out of the way, but the short drive is fine if you want something better than the usual tourist spots. Service was efficient, no complaints.

Solid traditional place right under the castle. Had the pork shoulder with spinach dumplings — pretty solid, no complaints. Outdoor tables face the square, good for just sitting and watching people go by. Nothing fancy but it hit the spot.

Service was solid even with the place packed for Ramadan. They took our order early and had everything ready right at iftar. No waiting around hangry. Food came out fresh and hot. Good spot if you're in the area during the holy month.

Went twice—dinner was solid, steak really stood out. Brunch okay, could use more fruit. Staff friendly though.

The schnitzel was solid and the service friendly enough. Portion sizes felt right for the price. Just wish the seating area was a bit more comfortable, but it's a decent spot for a casual meal.

The schnitzel was massive. Like, covered the whole plate massive. And actually crispy, not soggy. Had a local unfiltered beer with it, went down easy. Place was busy but I got a seat at the bar. Nothing fancy, just solid food done right. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

The pad thai was properly tangy and not greasy at all. Owner's sweet, even if service gets a bit chaotic.

The vegan burger really hit the spot—nice to see a place that bothers with decent plant-based options instead of just one sad salad. I went for the healthier bun and didn't regret it. Cocktail list is solid too, bartenders know what they're doing. Mine was well balanced, not too sweet. Place was a bit busy when I visited, but that didn't take away from the meal.

Solid Franconian food, generous portions. Had the sauerkraut, definitely homemade, not the usual jar stuff. Prices are fair for what you get. Place was busy, typical local vibe. Service was efficient, no complaints. If you're in the area and want straightforward, honest cooking, this works. Just don't expect anything fancy.

Lovely spot right on the river. Sat outside, watched the water while eating. Vegetarian options were actually decent, not just a sad afterthought. Service was a bit slow but I wasn't in a hurry. Would come back for the setting alone. 🌿

Stopped by for a beer after a long walk along the river. Nice spot, plenty of outdoor seating right by the water. Food was just alright—nothing special, but the drink list is solid. Prices are fair for the location, though. I'd come back for a drink, maybe not for a full meal.

The in-house Kellerbier is really good—probably my favorite beer in Bamberg so far. Sat in the beer garden with a nice view over the town. Service was friendly too.

Nice shady spot under the trees, felt like a proper beer garden. Cold drinks hit the spot. Just wish they had a few more snack options.

The owner's a bit blunt at first but warms up if you talk to him. Food's solid and portions are big. Call ahead though, they get busy.

Stopped by for a late lunch after a hike. The Wiener schnitzel was huge, two crispy pieces with plenty of fries. Beer was solid, you can tell they know what they're doing. Venison sausages were good but the sides felt a bit random. Place was busy but service kept up fine.

The daily specials were solid - horseradish and meat plus goulash with two dumplings. Tiramisu with quince and walnut really stood out though. Place is comfy, fair prices, and just a short walk from the campervan spot.

Solid Greek spot for a Sunday when not much else is open. Service was attentive, food hit the spot. Nothing fancy, but it worked.

The lamb dish was the highlight — tender, properly seasoned, and you could tell they actually cared about the sourcing. The rest of the menu had some interesting regional touches too. Service was friendly enough, though I felt like the whole thing was a bit too choreographed. Would've preferred a more relaxed vibe. Still, solid cooking overall.

Stopped by for a quick bite with a friend—nothing fancy, just KFC. Chicken was crispy, hit the spot. Free drink refills are always a win, honestly. Place was clean enough, staff didn’t hover. Fine if you’re hungry and nearby. 😄

Buffet had plenty of options, quality stayed solid throughout. The teppanyaki was the standout for me. Ended with the chocolate fountain, which was a nice touch. Nothing mind-blowing, but a decent spread if you're hungry and want variety.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Schäufele was solid, meat tender, sauce good. Portion size is decent. Just wished they gave more dumplings, felt a bit short. Place gets crowded fast, so service slows down. Still, for a quick bite, it does the job. I'd come back if I'm in the area.

Big portions, gyros had a nice char from the grill. Sat in the garden, which was lovely. Interior's a bit tired, but the staff kept things moving. A cold beer would've paired well with the smoky meat.

The cappuccino was okay but honestly, the espresso had that bitter edge I don't love. Staff were friendly enough and didn't keep me waiting long. Fine if you're just grabbing something quick before your train, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. For the price, it's acceptable, nothing more.

The place looks like the Orient Express inside, that’s the first thing you see. Back courtyard’s nice when it’s warm out. Food was solid, nothing fancy but good.

Lovely little Greek place in Nuremberg. Sat outside, ordered the usual, and the ouzo on the house was a nice touch. Prices felt fair for what you get.

The lighting is so dim and warm, it feels like you've stumbled into someone's living room. Cocktails were solid, though the price tag is a bit steep for what you get. Free peanuts are a nice touch.
