I highly recommend trying the Chilli Momo at Gurkha! It's crispy on the outside and juicy inside, coated with a tangy-spicy sauce that is simply delightful.

Portions are huge for downtown, no doubt. The nigiri pieces are easily the biggest I've seen here. Went with a crisp lager to cut through the richness, which worked well. A solid spot if you're really hungry.

The honey cake was a standout. Moist layers, not overly sweet, with a nice hint of spice. Really enjoyed it with a coffee. The place itself has a cozy, lived-in feel that makes you want to stay a while.

They've got that TripAdvisor award on the wall for a reason. The service was so on point for our girls' night.

Loved the colourful, fun decor here. Our server was really nice and attentive throughout the whole meal, which made everything feel relaxed and easy. The food was very good, too. A really pleasant spot for a laid-back dinner.

Love the vibe here! The building's from 1921 and feels like a proper old British home. They had the fireplace going in the back room, which was perfect on a chilly day. Such a cozy spot for a long chat.

The mango smoothie was sweet and really refreshing. Owner's friendly once you say hi, though he looks serious at first.

Lemonade was house-made. Not too sweet. Refreshing. Cut through the rich BBQ sauce perfectly.

Stopped by near closing time, still got a warm welcome. The staff were super nice even though it was late. Made my quick dinner feel a lot better after a long day. Appreciate that.

Just got back from Japan. Their soy chashu is on point, really tender and savory. The broth has a good depth to it, reminds me of a spot I tried in Tokyo. That's the main thing for me.

Consistent quality and generous portions. Staff handled my customization request without fuss. It’s a bit pricey for a regular spot, but works well for a business lunch. Convenient location near the office.

Even though there's often a line, the delicious and hearty meals are totally worth the wait.

Weekday specials are solid, great portions for the price. The happy hour is a steal - had a surprisingly good house red that paired nicely with the pasta.

Albert was very helpful with our allergies. The food was pretty good and service was attentive. A nice dinner overall.

Pastries are definitely top-tier, especially the pain au raisins. Got it warmed up like they suggested. But honestly, for the price, the portion felt a bit small. Still hits the spot though.

Been coming here for years, and the Eggs Benedict is my go-to. That house-made biscuit is the key - it's got that crunch every single time. The hollandaise is just right, never too rich.

Quick service, even for takeout. I was in and out with my order in no time. The staff were polite and didn't rush me, which I appreciated. It's nice when things just run smoothly.

Chef John's cooking really stands out. The halibut was cooked just right, and the sauce had a nice depth. Felt like a Michelin-level meal. The atmosphere was spot on, too. A bit pricey, but you can tell where the effort goes.

Lived nearby for a while, so this was my regular noodle spot. The vibe is just right – not too loud, and the booths are comfy. Still think about their beef noodle soup now that I've moved.

The staff here are so nice and seem to really care. Our server was patient explaining the menu and remembered we wanted extra napkins. It's a small thing, but it made the lunch feel really relaxed.

Came for the cinnamon buns everyone talks about. They're huge and so fresh, but honestly a bit pricey at $7 each. The patio is nice, but I was really just there for the bun. Might get one to share next time.

The staff were genuinely nice, which made the visit pleasant. I went for the customizable ice cream with all the toppings - a fun concept. Their house-made root beer float was a surprisingly good pairing with the sweet overload.
