The meatballs and chorizo were the highlight. Really solid flavors. Ina helped us pick a wine that worked well with the food. Service was good too.

Came with a big group and service was surprisingly fast. Got the schnitzel, portion was huge. Menu covers all bases, solid pick if you can't decide what to eat.

Steak came out medium just as I asked, beer was cold. Owner was around checking on things, felt proper German. Solid spot, nothing fancy but does the job.

Loved the seasonal cocktail menu here — really creative stuff. Bartender nailed my request for something less sweet. Cash only caught me off guard, but honestly the drinks were worth it.

Stumbled into this place looking for something different in Wuppertal. Proper English pub feel, not trying too hard. The ale list is decent, got a few ciders you won't see elsewhere in town. Had the homemade curry, it did the job. Nothing fancy but honest food. Place was a bit quiet for a Saturday but that suited me fine.

Great spot for a casual drink. The red lighting and window seats make it dangerously easy to lose track of time.

Great spot to grab an Altbier. Bartender was super friendly and knew a lot about the local spirits. Ended up staying way longer than planned.

Solid cocktails after work — strong and well made. Staff was friendly too. Easy to get to by transit, which helps. Place wasn't packed, so we could actually talk.

Stopped by for a quick dinner. Staff spoke English, which made ordering easy. Food was solid, nothing fancy but it did the job. Place was busy but service stayed efficient. Fair price for what you get. Wouldn't go out of my way, but if you're nearby, it's a safe bet.

Stopped by for dinner last week and grabbed a glass of their house red — paired nicely with the grilled veggie plate. Menu’s small but changes often, which I like. Food’s creative without trying too hard. Service was friendly, prices fair. Only gripe: restroom was freezing, but that’s minor.

The pork knuckle was spot on—crispy skin, tender inside. Didn’t expect much from a random stop, but that alone made it worth it.

Came in without a reservation on a busy morning, they still found me a table. Staff were friendly and quick. Breakfast did the job, nothing fancy but solid. Fair for the price.

Lovely little cafe, really nicely decorated. The homemade cakes were good too. Sat by the window with a view of the river, which made it feel special. Just wish the seating was a bit more comfortable.

Great cocktail list with some seriously creative presentations. Staff were friendly and even brought free water. Prices sting a bit, but you're paying for the experience. Worth checking out if you're into unusual drinks.

No. 7 of Bars in Dusseldorf

Came here on a game day and the place was buzzing. Landlady speaks really good English, which helped a lot. Beer was cold and solid, didn't try the wine though. Dogs are allowed inside, that's always a plus for me. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Been coming here for a while now. The food stays consistent, which is why I keep going back. Wine by the glass is solid too. Gets a bit loud when it's full, but that's about the only downside.

Decent spot in Dortmund for a proper cocktail. Bartender knew what he was doing, drink came out balanced. Place has a relaxed vibe, though music gets noticeably louder after 10. Not the cheapest, but you pay for the quality. Fine if you want a solid drink without the club scene.

Came here to watch a match during my stay in Cologne. The TVs are everywhere, so you never miss a moment. Beer selection is solid, and the staff switched to English without any fuss. Food was okay, nothing fancy, but the fries were fresh. Good spot if you just want a relaxed evening with sports.

Stopped by for a beer after a long day. They have way more than just Kölsch here, which was nice. I had a sour that was really good, and my friend liked her stout. The place is small but the vibe is lively. Only thing is it got pretty packed later on, but that's probably a good sign.

Stopped by for a beer and ended up staying longer than planned. The place has that proper Cologne pub feel—nothing fancy, just comfortable. Prices are fair for the area, which is always a plus. Seats are basic but fine for hanging out. Wouldn't mind coming back on a quieter evening.

The brisket and ribs came out with that perfect smoke ring, still juicy in the middle. I ordered a glass of their bold red to go with it — matched the fatty edges really well. Place was busy for a Tuesday, but the meat made up for it. Already thinking about when I can get back. The brisket and ribs came out with that perfect smoke ring, still juicy in the middle. Lovely little spot to sit outside with a coffee after shopping. The people-watching is great too. Just wish the outdoor seating had a bit more shade.

Nice place for a drink, but paying through the hotel room charge was a bit of a hassle. The seating area felt a little cramped though.

The dry-aged steak was properly juicy and had that deep flavor you don't find often. Bread with herbed butter came warm, which was a nice start. Staff checked in just enough without hovering. Slightly pricey but fair for the quality. Solid choice if you're after a good steak in Cologne.

Stopped by for a Killepitsch after walking around the old town. It's a strong herbal shot, definitely an acquired taste but worth trying once. Grabbed it from the street window and stood outside watching people go by. Service was quick and friendly. Decent spot for a quick local experience, though it's not somewhere you'd linger for long.

Solid Altbier selection and prices are fair. Music's loud, rock-heavy, but that's part of the pub charm. Mixed crowd of locals and tourists. Good spot for a casual beer.

The fish and chips were spot on. Crispy batter, flaky fish, proper chips. Beer was well-kept too. Exactly what you want from a corner pub.

Stopped by for a quick bite and a drink. The interior is pretty cozy, not too loud. Staff was on it, never had to wait long. Got the schnitzel and a beer, both solid for the price. Nothing fancy, but it did the job. Wouldn't mind coming back if I'm in the area again.
