The cakes are really good and the place has that classic old-school feel. Just bring cash, they don't take cards. Prices are a bit steep though.

Had the apple pie – really good, flaky crust. Pizzas are thin and tasty too. Prices fair for what you get. Cozy little spot, easy to sit for a while. Maybe not a destination place, but fine for a casual afternoon.

Stopped by for a coffee and ended up staying a couple hours with my laptop. Flat white was solid, not too hot, decent crema. Staff left me alone, which I appreciate. Place gets a bit noisy around noon though. Fine spot if you need to get something done without being bothered.

The weekend buffet here is solid — homemade cakes and ice cream are the highlight for sure. Place gets busy but the seating is comfortable enough to linger a bit. Just wish they had a few more savory options on the buffet, but for breakfast or brunch it does the job.

The iced strawberry matcha is genuinely one of the best I've had in the city. The strawberry sweetness cuts through the matcha bitterness just right. Staff were fine, place was okay, but honestly I'd come back just for that drink. Maybe slightly pricey for the size, but the flavor makes up for it.

Lovely little café with all these vintage coffee machines around—really cool to look at while sipping. My cappuccino was smooth, no bitterness. Staff let me take my time choosing a seat by the window. Only thing: it got a bit busy later, but still relaxing. Nice place to just sit and unwind.

The chocolate soufflé was rich and satisfying, though a bit heavy on its own. The cappuccino was average. The prices are on the higher side, but the location and view make it a decent stop.

Stopped by for a quick bite on Sunday. Place was packed but I still got my food fast. The mix breakfast did the job — solid portions, nothing fancy. Staff kept up well despite the crowd. Good spot if you're in Ehrenfeld and need something quick without the hassle.

Solid breakfast buffet for about 10€. Good mix of German and continental stuff, some warm dishes too. Juice included, coffee costs extra. The food is just out in the open, no covers over it, which felt a bit off. But for the price, it's decent. I liked the seating area, pretty comfortable for a quick morning stop.

The rösti is the star here. They even do a vegan version, which I appreciated. Sat at the higher table with a view of the street terrace—probably nice in summer too. Smoothie and coffee were both on point. Quick service, no fuss. Solid spot for a lunch break.

Matcha and hojicha desserts are still the reason I keep coming back. Warabi mochi was good, though the case looked a bit empty late Saturday.

Nice little spot with a good beer choice and decent snacks. The tasting was fun and the staff seemed genuinely friendly. Comfortable seating too, which I always appreciate.

Nice little café, coffee and cake were solid. Quiet on a Saturday morning, which is rare around here. Good spot to just sit for a while.

Good coffee and the wifi actually worked well for getting some work done. Cozy spot, though it did get a bit loud when I was there on Saturday. Prices felt fair for what you get.

The garden seating is what got me. Quiet, green, tucked away from the street noise. Had the breakfast plate—simple but fresh, eggs done right. Coffee was solid too. Service friendly enough, though they took a moment to notice me. Would sit outside again, just for that calm.

Flat white was solid and the staff didn't keep me waiting. Place is small, got a bit tight when it filled up. Fine for a quick stop if you're in the area.

The homemade cakes are really the highlight here, and they had plenty of vegan options which I loved. Coffee was solid too. The place feels super cozy, almost like sitting in someone's living room. Perfect spot for catching up with a friend over something sweet. Just wish they had a bit more seating, it got pretty full by mid-afternoon.

Open on Sundays—that's a real plus. Had the vegetariana pizza, it was solid. Cozy inside, bathrooms clean. Good spot if you're in the area.

Stumbled in here for a quick bite and ended up staying way longer than planned. The homemade cakes are the real deal — got the apple one and it was still warm. Coffee's solid too. Place is small but that's part of the charm. Service was friendly without hovering. Only downside: took a bit to get the bill.

The interior is really well done—modern but not cold. Coffee was solid, dessert even better. Plenty of room outside too, which I appreciated.

Been coming here for a while now. Service stays friendly and quick, that's why I keep coming back. Food's okay, not always consistent, but the staff makes up for it.

Finally a proper flat white in Essen! Milk was steamed just right, not too hot. Quick service too. Good spot for a catch-up with friends. ☕

Stopped by for a late afternoon pick-me-up. Cappuccino was solid, not too bitter, and the cake slice was huge—almost too big to finish. Good spot to just sit and watch people go by. Might try the brunch buffet next time, looked decent. Service was fine, nothing to complain about.

We had our wedding reception here and it was flawless. The team handled everything beautifully, from the champagne to the finger food, and the location right by the registry office made it super convenient.

Solid pancakes. Coffee was decent too. Place fills up fast, so we grabbed a table before the rush. Relaxed vibe, nothing fancy. Fine for a lazy brunch.

Nice cocktail list, not too pricey either. Good spot to just chill with friends for a few hours. Service was fine, nothing special but we weren't in a hurry.

Stopped by for a coffee and ended up grabbing a slice of the raspberry cake. Looked almost too nice to eat. Fresh, not too sweet, really good. Place was a bit busy but fine. If you're into cakes, this one's worth checking out.

Been coming here for a while now. The Espresso Tonic is still the best in town, no question. I usually grab one with the veggie lunch option, which is always solid. Place gets a bit busy around noon, but that's fine. Just a reliable spot when I need a quick bite and a decent coffee.

The coffee was really smooth and well-made. Breakfast options are solid, though service gets a bit chaotic when it's busy. Still a decent spot to grab a morning bite.

Been coming here for a while now, and the breakfast buffet never disappoints. Plenty of options, and they keep it stocked even when it gets busy. Staff's quick with the coffee refills too. Solid spot if you're staying at the hotel and want a relaxed morning without hunting for a table elsewhere.
