The tagliatelle was decent, but €22 for a simple tomato pasta? That’s steep. The steak at €51 didn’t feel like a bargain either. Nice outdoor seating though, when the train noise lets up. 🍷

The Vacio steak was spot on, easily the best I’ve had in a while. The Portuguese-Argentinian menu mix keeps it interesting too. Just wish they’d turn the music down a notch.

The lady's "service" was not good. Very unfriendly.and rude. The gentleman was friendlier. It was cold in the restaurant and we were sitting right in the cold air stream close to entrance. Guests had put their wintercoats back on while dining. The lady refused to give us another table where it should have been a little warmer, while there was possibility to move. Food was nice.

Breakfast was decent — nicely plated, nothing over the top. Nina handled our table well, friendly without hovering. Sat outside, which was fine for a slow morning. Food came out at a good pace. I’d come back if I’m in the area again.

Tapas were fresh, aioli and baby squid really stood out. Wine pairing was spot on too. Dessert finished it off nicely. Place was a bit loud but whatever. Solid spot for a casual dinner.

Dropped by for a quick dinner and went straight for the duck curry. Presentation was spot on, and the sauce had that rich, coconutty depth I look for. They had a decent Riesling by the glass that handled the spice well. Service was friendly enough, though it did take a moment to get the bill. Solid spot if you're in the area.

The pizzas are proper size and the thin crust was done well. Had the margherita, pretty solid choice for a casual dinner in Essen. Place was busy but we got a table fine. Service decent, nothing to complain about. Would come back if I'm in the area.

The tiramisu alone is worth stopping by for. Really creamy, not too sweet, and the coffee flavor comes through nicely. Had it after the pasta, which was solid too. Place was busy but not chaotic. Prices felt fair for what you get. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Nice spot, the interior is really something. Had a few dishes I haven't seen on other Italian menus around here. Service was on point too.

Lunch menu’s a solid deal, no complaints there. Food came out quick and hit the spot. Staff left me alone, which I appreciate.

Stopped by for a coffee on a Sunday, most places were shut so this was a solid find. Ended up staying longer than planned, the porch swing area is a nice touch. Coffee was fine, nothing fancy, but the relaxed vibe made it work. Good spot if you need a break and don't want to be rushed.

Kids loved it here — they got to make their own pizza, which was the highlight. Staff didn’t rush us, even with the mess. Food was decent, nothing crazy, but the vibe made up for it. A bit noisy, but that’s expected with families around. Fine for a casual stop.

Cozy place right by the tennis court. The parsnip soup was really good, and the pesto pizza hit the spot. Service was friendly and attentive.

Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Grilled octopus was spot on again. Gets busy fast, so yeah, book a table or you'll wait.

Gyros was solid, easily one of the better ones I've had in Viersen. Place was busy but my order still came out fast. Portion size was generous too.

Got a table without booking, but I'd call ahead next time. Staff were friendly enough, food was fresh and tasty. Nothing fancy, just solid cooking.

Burger was decent but €16 without fries? That's a bit steep. Taste is fine, staff friendly enough. Just not sure I'd rush back for the price.

Came here for the first time and honestly the sushi was super fresh. Big portions too, which I didn't expect. Place is tiny though, so we waited a bit for a table. Not mad about it though.

The owner came over to say hello and helped us pick our dishes. That was nice, didn't feel rushed at all. Food was fresh, especially the fish. Cozy inside, warm lighting. We sat near the window, chairs were comfortable enough to stay a while. A bit noisy when it got fuller, but nothing too bad. Pleasant evening overall.

Came in on a busy Saturday, no reservation. Staff still got me seated fast, which I appreciated. Had the tagliatelle al ragù — decent, rich sauce, pasta cooked right. Not the best Italian I've had around here, but solid for the price. Place is loud though, so don't come expecting a quiet dinner.

The salmon bowl (#41) was really good, that sauce made it. Place gets busy though, so book ahead. Cash only, which caught me off guard.

Owner let us in even though they were closing. Ribs were juicy, cheeseburger did the job. Decent bottled beer selection too. 🍺

The pork schnitzel was solid, crispy, and the portion was huge. Riverside spot is nice, but it gets packed on warm weekends. Took a while to grab a table.

The food here was really good—I had the truffle pasta and it hit the spot. The team was super friendly and actually took time to explain the wine pairings, which I appreciated. Menu’s a bit pricey though, but I guess you pay for the quality. Would come back for a special occasion.

The paella was solid, came out hot and quick even though the place was packed. Friendly staff too. Good spot for a fast lunch if you're in the area.

The cold dishes here are really fresh. I had the lamb skewers too, nicely spiced. Noodle soups are a bit pricey for what they are, but the portion is generous. Good spot if you want proper Shaanxi flavors in Cologne. I'd probably just stick to the starters next time.

The quinoa dish was hearty, almost like a risotto. Nice to see clear menu labeling for vegetarians, plenty of options. Service ran a bit slow, but the food itself made up for it. Decent spot if you're not in a rush.

Came here a few times now. Second floor has a nice vibe, food's always solid. Only thing that bugs me is the men's room door—been broken for months. Kinda sloppy for a place that gets this busy. Still, I'll be back, just wish they'd fix that.

We came here during the Spiel fair with a group. The bouillabaisse starter was solid, really wholesome. But then we waited nearly an hour for mains. My steak was tender, though it didn't have much of a sear. For the price, that's a bit off. Atmosphere was fine, but the wait dragged it down.
