Tuna dish was the highlight — fresh, well seasoned, came out fast too. Open kitchen gives it a nice buzz, nothing too fancy. Service was friendly, no complaints there. Solid spot if you need a quick lunch that doesn't feel rushed. Maybe a bit pricey for what it is, but I'd come back.

Loved the tapas and that rump steak with cognac sauce 😍 Fried anchovies were a solid bonus. Place had a nice buzz for hanging out with friends.

Stopped by after years away—was a regular back in 2009. The pide still tastes right, and they still bring out free tea at the end. Glad it hasn't changed.

Cozy spot with that old-school charm—coffee was solid, though I wished they had a better wine list to pair with the afternoon. Still, the terrace is perfect for people-watching.

We grabbed a table here with a few friends last week and honestly the lamb was so tender, I still think about it 😅 The octopus had that nice char and seasoning too. Place gets busy, so it’s not super quiet, but that kinda added to the vibe for us. Solid pick if you’re into Greek food.

We sat outside on the terrace, right by the lake. That view alone is worth it. I had the grilled fish with vegetables, and the fish was fresh, nicely cooked. Not overly seasoned, which I liked. The staff checked in on us a few times, seemed to genuinely care. Only thing, it took a bit long for the food to come. But the setting made up for it.

The lamb steak was decent, and the mussels were a good start. Portion size felt a bit small for what you pay, though. Staff were patient, which helped since my German isn't great. Nice spot, but I left still a little hungry.

The teriyaki tempura rolls really stood out—crispy and saucy, exactly what I wanted. Service was fast, perfect for a quick lunch stop.

Stopped by for a quick dinner. Menu is massive, took a while to decide. Went with the vegetarian starters—decent portions, flavors were solid. English menu available, staff handled the order without issues. Place was busy but service stayed efficient. Fair price for what you get. Would come back if I'm in Essen again.

The owner clearly cares about this place. He came by our table himself and talked us through the menu. Nice personal touch.

The lunch menu here is decent for what you pay. Portions are generous enough that I didn't feel ripped off. Had a glass of their house red with the pasta—nothing fancy, but it did the job. Place gets a bit busy around noon, so don't expect a quiet chat. Fine for a quick bite if you're in the area.

Been coming here for a while now, and the sushi stays consistently fresh. That’s mainly why I keep going back. Place is clean too, which I appreciate. Only thing is the tables are pretty tight, so you’re basically sitting close to strangers. Doesn’t bother me much, but worth knowing. Price is fair for what you get.

The pizza was decent, nothing crazy but it hit the spot. Place felt comfortable enough, I didn't feel rushed. Service was friendly, which I always appreciate. Just a solid spot for a casual bite if you're in the area and don't want to overthink it.

The sashimi here is always spot on—still as fresh as my first visit months ago. Tempura’s solid too. Just expect a short wait, but it’s worth it.

The beer garden out back is really nice, especially when the weather cooperates. I had the Kiev cutlet and it was properly buttery, just how it should be. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but you can tell they use good ingredients. Service was friendly enough, though we waited a while for dessert. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

The Montepulciano was the highlight — really well chosen. Food matched up nicely too. Staff brought a slice of cake without asking, which was a nice touch. Only downside is the construction around the place, makes getting there a bit annoying. But the quality keeps me coming back.

The burrata was the standout. Creamy, fresh, slightly salty, perfect with the bread. Had the hazelnut crème brûlée after, also solid. Staff knew their wine list, gave a good match. Place was a bit loud but I didn't care. I'd go back just for that burrata.

The crema catalana was spot on. Not that pudding stuff they pass off in most places. Had it after some decent tapas, service was friendly enough. Place was busy but we got our food without waiting too long. Solid spot if you're in the area and want something simple done right.

The homemade lasagna was the highlight for me—you can tell it’s made fresh, not from a box. Layers were spot on, rich but not heavy. Chef even came out for a quick chat, seemed genuinely into what he does. Place is small and a bit cramped, but I’d go back just for that dish.

We sat outside undercover and ordered the Caesar salad with chicken and the mega beef burger. The salad was fresh, chicken nicely grilled. Burger was juicy, maybe a bit messy but that's fine. Staff actually remembered us from our last visit, thought that was a nice touch. Portions are generous, I couldn't finish mine.

Solid schnitzel and a cold beer on the patio—that hit the spot. Portions are generous, though the coleslaw could use a bit more tang. Good spot for a casual lunch.

Service was solid - they noticed we needed extra time with the menu and didn't rush us. Terrace seating was comfortable for a late dinner. Food came out correctly, nothing to complain about. Decent spot if you're in the area and want a relaxed meal without fuss. Prices are fair for what you get.

We went for dinner and I was happy to see so many veggie options. Picked my spice level, which I always appreciate. The garlic naan with that aioli was really good. Service was friendly, but we waited a solid 40 minutes for the food to come out. That was a bit long, even for a busy night.

Decent spot for a relaxed evening. Service was friendly, not pushy. Octopus and mushrooms were pretty good. Just wish the portions were a bit bigger.

Stopped by for dinner and the chef actually came out to say hi. That was a nice touch. Had the duck, cooked properly, skin crispy. Portion could be bigger for the price though. Place is small, a bit cramped but cozy. Fine for a casual meal if you're in the area.

The veggie burger was decent, but honestly the fries stole the show. Crispy, well-seasoned, not soggy at all. Happy hour cocktails are reasonably priced too. We grabbed a table near the window, nice casual vibe. Spring rolls were okay, nothing special. Would come back for those fries and a drink, sure.

The lasagne was proper homemade, generous portion too. Had a glass of Chianti with it, worked really well with the meat sauce. Place had a decent buzz, nothing fancy but comfortable. Service was on point, didn't have to wait long. Only thing, it got a bit warm inside by the end.
