TheForkUserThe most beautiful view combined with wonderful food. The tasting menu was fantastic as were the wine pairings. Easy public parking just through the town.
TheForkUserFood, setting and service are very good. Unfortunately during spring time, mosquitos tend to swarm around the tables ruining the atmosphere. I think they should find a solution. Otherwise it is one of our favorite places around the lake.
TheForkUserloved the terrace behind, small and cosy. The waiter was sympathetic and very friendly. we love this kind of restaurant because it feels like home.
TheForkUserAll four of us ate different meals and really enjoyed them. Red Curry with chicken, Pad Thai with tofu and also with chicken, and another dish I've forgotten the name of. Starters were Nems. All delicious. Service really friendly and atmosphere cosy and lively at the same time. It was our first time here but will definitely become one of our regular places to eat while in the Montreux area.
TheForkUserNow under new management, this restaurant has really "upped its game". Food and service greatly improved and the view, directly on Lac Léman , is always spectacular.
TheForkUserStefan is the guy who made our time at the restaurant memorable!Fantastic service, great sense of humor! And very attentive to the clients: well done Stefan, we will come back to get taken care of by you!
TheForkUserThis is a family business. One can feel the genuine care from the team. The food was outstanding and the service friendly and professional. We will return.
TheForkUsersmall sympathetic genuinely Italian restaurant with warm atmosphere man d good food! Further when the spring progresses their garden is exquisite
TheForkUserExcellent buffet and top produce with lots of choice for a vegetarian. A very friendly and helpful chef who will cook meat and fish to order and a beautiful shady terrace on a hot summer’s day. A memorable moment.
TheForkUserSwiss and French inspired tappas and entrees, excellent wine/drinks selection, cool jazz vibe and decor, English speaking too! Very good service
TheForkUserThis is one of the very best restaurants in the region. Well worth the effort to come. The food is local, fresh, imaginative with a touch of both tradition and discovery. The chef is first rate. Dining here is a pleasure and a must!
TheForkUserEven though Montreaux is one of the most expensive cities we have ever visited anywhere in the world, our dinner at Chez John is HANDS DOWN the best dining value anywhere. There are plenty of reasons why the ratings for this restaurant are so consistently high. For us…the two big standouts were the quality of the cuts of beef we ordered, and surprisingly (for us) the bottle of John’s “Red” we consumed with our meal. We stayed at the Fairmont which is known for great service. The food…not so much. We ate at other top rated choices like “Why Montreaux?” And realized the name of the restaurant might be ironic. It’s not that the food there was bad…it just made us miss the food and experience at Chez John a short walk away. We really enjoyed the quality of the food and the gracious attention of our hosts. Don’t skip this one.
TheForkUserI always enjoy dining here! Their Malakoff is absolutely delicious, and the salad is always fresh and perfectly balanced. A great place for a satisfying meal
TheForkUserA delightful lunch experience at Le Berceau des Sens at EHL, the École Hôtelière de Lausanne! The menu was a perfect balance of refined flavors and creative presentation, showcasing a truly exquisite and carefully crafted cuisine. The dishes were not only delicious but also a testament to the chef’s attention to detail. The service was equally remarkable – attentive, professional, and warm, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a culinary journey in a sophisticated setting!
TheForkUserThe food is absolutely delicious. Really truly stunning. The papaya salad was out of this world and the rest of the meal, too. And let’s not forget the sticky rice with mango. Heaven! Go…
TheForkUserThe food was excellent, the wine was reasonably priced considering it was a hotel restaurant and the service charming. The location, sitting outside with a view across the lake was lovely. Prices for the food were typical of Swiss restaurants of this calibre.
TheForkUserStaff are friendly, food is very good and portions are fair vs price in switzerland. We had a birthday to celebrate and they were very helpful and the chef even offered for us an amazing cake made from a bagette!
TheForkUserWe had an amazing time there. The food, service and atmosphere were exceptional! The fondue is a must-try for whoever visits! It was the best we've had so far!
TheForkUserHad delicious filets de perche (a regional specialty) in this very authentic lovely restaurant. Service was fast and friendly. They even served a tasty little amuse bouche. Great experience overall!
TheForkUserSuch a yummy restaurant with incredible views. The classic fondue was to die for, highly recommend. Additionally, the staff was ver accommodating and kind.
TheForkUserReal Italy, high quality of fine food, very nice and professional service, including the care of cooks to satisfy the clients. I really recommend this place.
