This restaurant is a lovely spot to relax and enjoy a meal, with a welcoming atmosphere and dependable service.

Booked for Sunday lunch, place was packed. Service got a bit slow when they were full, but expected that. Food came out fine in the end.

Decent gluten-free menu, more variety than most places. Had the pasta and it was fine. Service was efficient, got me in and out for a lunch meeting. Good option if you need GF in the area.

The plaice was perfectly cooked, swimming in butter. The hazelnut parfait was lovely too. What really stood out was the service – friendly and relaxed, they never rushed us out even at the end of the night.

The team here really makes the place. Busy Saturday night, but our server was on it—knew the specials, kept things moving without feeling rushed. That kind of attentive service makes a big difference.

The food for our large group all came out together and was still hot, which was impressive. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared.

Nice historic pub with a cozy feel. The fish and chips were a bit pricey for the portion size though.

My wife and I went for dinner on a Monday night. The pub wasn't too busy which was lovely. We were quickly seated and attended to. Drinks were ok but the startes and sharing plates were great! Well seasoned and presented. Highly recommend the chicken karaage. Our mains were generously sized but a bit lacking in flavour. We had pork belly (saved by the tasty sauce) and sea bass (needed salt). All in all a lovely meal and we would visit again if in the area.

The Guinness here is pretty good, probably the best I've had in Shifnal. A decent spot for a quiet pint, and the staff are friendly. It's nice that they allow dogs inside too.

Nice local spot. Staff and regulars were friendly, felt like I could just hang out. Had a pint, it was decent. Good for a relaxed evening.

The beer garden is a real gem, best in the area. Staff are lovely. Had a pint of their local ale, which was just right for a sunny afternoon. The interior is wonderfully cosy, though it got a bit warm later on.

A lovely old pub, but what really stood out was the freshness of the ingredients in my salad. The greens were crisp and the chicken tasted so clean and well-prepared. It felt like a proper, healthy meal in a pub setting. A nice change from the usual.

Been coming here for years, and the chicken in their curries never disappoints. It's always so tender and packed with flavour. Just a solid, reliable spot when you fancy a good curry.

The draft beer here is the real deal. Had a pint of their house bitter, it's got that proper depth of flavour you want. Crisp finish, not too heavy. Just a solid, well-kept pint. The music's from a few decades back, but honestly, I was just there for the beer.

The Chef's Showcase was a fun idea. The tasting menu had some really interesting flavour combinations.

Been going here for years. They always have a few local ales on tap, which is nice. Good spot to catch a game, plenty of screens. It's a proper pub.

Popped in for a quick bite. The staff were really friendly even though it was packed. Had the fish and chips, it was solid. Beer choice is a bit limited though.

Been coming here for years. The beer selection is solid, always a few good Belgian ones on. Best bit is they'll give you a taster before you buy a whole pint. Saves you getting stuck with something you don't fancy.

The mushroom pie from the vegetarian carvery was a really nice choice. It felt like a proper, hearty meal. The staff were friendly and made sure we were comfortable.

The manager is lovely, really puts you at ease. The food's always good, but I keep coming back for the relaxed, welcoming vibe. It's just a nice place to be.

Service was really on point. Staff noticed we needed water refills before we even asked. Quick and friendly.

Decent pub in a good spot. The fish and chips was a pretty good portion and cooked nicely. It was a bit loud on a match night, but the atmosphere was fun. The beer was fine.

Popped in for a quick pint. It's got that proper local pub vibe, a nice mix of regulars and new faces. The atmosphere is always friendly and lively, never feels too rowdy. A solid spot.

Parking was easy on a Tuesday evening, didn't need a booking. The location is handy, just off the M42 near Solihull. Had the lamb shank, it was fall-off-the-bone tender but the gravy was a touch too salty for me.

The staff were really friendly and knew their ales well. Ordering on the app was easy, and having the drinks brought over was a nice touch. A decent spot for a quiet pint.

Food was hot enough and choice very good, a comfortable venue, one little complaint is I thought the soft drinks expensive, £5 for a glass of lemonade.

Great spot for the Christmas market. The pub was so warm and cozy, even on a freezing weekend. Really made the visit.

Solid beer selection on tap, and the prices are fair. I like that they do table service here, makes it easy to just relax. A good, straightforward place for a pint.

Been coming here for years. The Sunday roast is consistently good, which is why I keep coming back.

Lovely old-world charm, the building is beautifully maintained. The bar area is particularly nice - had a great cocktail that paired well with my starter. A bit pricey for the drinks, but the setting was worth it.
