The staff here are honestly the best part—proper friendly and helpful even when the queue was out the door. I grabbed the fish and chips and it was solid, not fancy but tasty. Prices are fair too, so it's a decent shout if you're in the area and hungry. Just be prepared to wait a bit at peak times.

The paneer tikka starter was proper fluffy and well-seared. Madras curry had plenty of veg in it too. Decent spot if you're after vegetarian options.

The fish and garlic potatoes were spot on. Service was quick, which I appreciate at lunch. New spot on the main street is bright and roomy. Solid choice in Gorey.

Stopped in for a drink, ended up staying for food. Everything we ordered was tasty, staff were genuinely friendly. No complaints really.

The kimchi beef stir-fry was decent—proper spicy, not too heavy. Service was fine, got us in and out without much fuss. Place was busy but we didn't wait long. Wouldn't mind going back if I'm in the area again.

Food came out fast even with the place packed on a Friday. Got the steak, cooked exactly right. Staff were sound too.

Stopped in for a late breakfast—food was spot on, well presented, and the staff were really welcoming. Coffee came in a proper mug too, which is always a win.

Proper old-school spot with the fire going and trad music in the background. Guinness was spot on. Locals made it feel properly welcoming.

Stopped in for breakfast, grabbed a seat near the old theatre display. Food came quick, no messing around. Had the full Irish, decent portion, did the job. Place has a bit of character, not your usual chain pub. Fine if you want a solid feed without hanging about all morning.

The prawn tacos were the standout for sure. We were a group of four and everyone enjoyed them. The place itself is pretty casual, which I liked. Seats are decently comfortable, nothing fancy but fine for a relaxed bite. I'd say it's a solid pick for a simple lunch if you're in the area. Maybe not a destination spot, but it does the job well.

The brie & bacon stuffed French toast was the reason I walked in, and honestly it didn't disappoint. Sweet and savoury done right. Place is small, kinda snug, but that adds to the charm. Service was friendly without hovering. Only thing, it got a bit noisy when it filled up. Still, I'd pop back in for that toast again.

Beef stew and the chicken chorizo pie were both proper hot and tasty. Son’s goujons were fresh, not the frozen kind. Only hassle was trying to flag someone for dessert, ended up just paying at the bar. Fine for a quick feed.

Dropped in without expecting much, honestly. The tasting menu was spot on though, chef knew what he was doing. They sorted out a couple of allergy swaps without any fuss, which I appreciated. Still thinking about that main course days later. Only thing, it’s not cheap, but you’re paying for the quality.

The pancakes were proper thick and fluffy, loaded with fruit and cream. Tried the chorizo hash too, decent feed. Outdoor patio's a nice spot when the sun's out.

Lunch special before 5 is such a steal, and the gelato is honestly the best part. Staff were lovely too, even when it got busy. 😊

The slow-cooked beef rib was the standout for me—properly tender and full of flavour. Seats were comfy too, which always helps. Would happily go back.

Stopped in for a quick bite and the food was proper fresh. Had the carrot cake too—really decent, not too sweet. Staff were sound, no messing about. Place gets busy around lunch but worth it.

Lovely spot for tea and cake. Carrot cake was proper good, definitely the standout. Plenty of seats but it got pretty busy when I was there.

Stopped in for lunch and grabbed the chicken wrap with the vegetable soup. Soup was creamy, good texture. Wrap had a decent bit of heat to it, which I wasn't expecting but liked. Solid enough for a quick bite, nothing fancy. Portion was alright for the price. Might go back if I'm in the area again.

Stopped in for dinner off-season—fire was going, pub felt cosy. Steak was solid, and the price beat most spots around.

Chicken pesto panini was proper good, fresh bread and plenty of filling. Side salad was decent too. Place had a nice buzz about it.

The Belgian waffles were proper fluffy, warm and the strawberries with maple syrup on top were spot on. Didn't try the Irish breakfast but it looked decent enough.

We ordered pizzas for a staff night, 25 of us, and Richard and Leanne sorted the pre-order without a fuss. That alone made things easy. The pizzas themselves were decent, everyone seemed happy enough with what they got. Mine was fine, nothing to complain about. Just a solid, no-stress option for a big group.
