Convenient location just outside Stratford with plenty of parking. The fish and chips portion was huge, easily enough for two. Price was fair for what you get.

Lovely old-world charm, the building is beautifully maintained. The bar area is particularly nice - had a great cocktail that paired well with my starter. A bit pricey for the drinks, but the setting was worth it.

Been coming here for years, and the service is always spot on. Quick with the food, friendly without being over the top. It's that consistency that keeps me coming back for a casual weekend brunch.

Iqbal was a star. He really knew the menu and helped us sort out vegan options, tweaking a couple of dishes for us. Made the whole thing easy.

The food for our large group all came out together and was still hot, which was impressive. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared.

The staff brought out a lovely dessert plate for my birthday. It was a nice touch.

Lovely staff, wonderful service and excellent food. It's a great pity though that the Tuna Abrizzese Salad -- their best dish and featured as the illustration on this page -- is no longer on the menu. In fact there are no salads on the menu at all except for side salads -- as a vegetarian that is something that I really miss.I'd also like to see a proper automatic door system fitted. The current front door is extremely heavy -- my mother can't open it on her own so doesn't go there any more without help. Worse than this, the door sticks fully open quite often as people leave, and when it's freezing outside if you're sitting by the window then it gets very cold very quickly. Small things which could make a big difference to our experience as regulars at this great restaurant.

Nice historic pub with a cozy feel. The fish and chips were a bit pricey for the portion size though.

Been coming here for years. Their fish and chips are spot on, crispy batter and the chips are proper. The Sunday roast is a solid choice too. Staff know their stuff when it comes to allergies, which is a relief.

Came here on a whim. The lighting was low, candles on the tables. It was quiet enough to actually talk. Felt cosy, not stuffy. Good for a relaxed evening out.

Only the best is good enough, the Parson Clerk takes some beating for excellence, the management (Stacey) welcomes customers with a delightful smile, so too are the staff who always show their customers with polite smiling greetings and are always there for their needs.

Nice spot, the food was really good. I had the steak frites and my wife had the sea bass. The wine list is decent, found a nice Malbec that went perfectly with the steak. A bit on the pricier side for the portion, but the flavours were spot on.

Solid afternoon deal under £8. Food arrived quickly, no fuss. Exactly what you expect from a Wetherspoons.

Convenient canoe parking right by the river was a nice touch. The whole riverside setting just felt so relaxed and peaceful while we ate.

Been meaning to try this place for ages. Had lunch in the garden, which was lovely. The fish and chips were spot on - crispy batter, proper chunky chips. Staff were friendly, no rush. A bit pricier than the chippy down the road, but you get what you pay for.

The food was solid and cocktails were decent. But honestly, the portions felt a bit small for the price. I left still feeling a bit peckish.

A really nice pub, the portions are huge. We had the garlic mushrooms to start and honestly felt full after that! The seats were comfortable though, which was a plus.

The courtyard was the best part. Just a few tables tucked away, felt like a little secret garden. Really peaceful spot to sit and unwind.

Food was solid, service efficient. Place was packed, which explains the slight wait for a table. Good spot for a business lunch near the office.

That air conditioning during the heatwave was everything. Spent hours in the bar just to soak up the cool air, it was a proper refuge. Staff were so on it with the water refills too.

Been coming here for years, and the fish and chips portion is always huge. It's a reliable spot for that.

A really spacious pub, loads of TVs and sports stuff on the walls. Went for an early lunch and it was nice and quiet, easy to get a table. Plenty of parking round the back which is a bonus.

Popped in on a Tuesday night with a couple of friends. The staff were so lovely - they pointed out a few dishes we'd totally have missed. Made for a really fun, relaxed catch-up. The vibe was just right for a low-key group hangout.

A solid spot for families. The kids menu was decent, and they kept our little one busy with crayons and paper. Danni and Andrea were friendly and helpful. The high chairs were a bit wobbly though.

The chicken shashlick had such fresh, vibrant spices. Really enjoyed the quality of the ingredients.

Been here a few times. It’s a nice, relaxed place where you can bring your dog. The food is solid, especially for the price. Had to wait a bit for our order, but it’s usually like that when it’s busy.

My wife and I went for dinner on a Monday night. The pub wasn't too busy which was lovely. We were quickly seated and attended to. Drinks were ok but the startes and sharing plates were great! Well seasoned and presented. Highly recommend the chicken karaage. Our mains were generously sized but a bit lacking in flavour. We had pork belly (saved by the tasty sauce) and sea bass (needed salt). All in all a lovely meal and we would visit again if in the area.

Ollie was so on top of things tonight. Knew exactly when to check in and gave a great tip on the wine pairing for the lamb. Made the whole thing feel really relaxed.

A proper local pub, and they're very welcoming to dogs - even had treats for our spaniel. Nice to see. The pale ale on tap was a solid choice, went well with the simple ploughman's lunch. Could do with a few more craft options on the menu though.

Quick lunch spot. Breakfast burrito was tasty, good portion. Staff friendly, got my order out fast. Nice for a quick bite.
