Cross Hotel Osaka

This hotel is located near a famous shopping district, which makes shopping super convenient. It's right next to the Glico Running Man sign, and there are also some expensive Kobe beef restaurants nearby. There are tons of restaurants and drugstores, so you're sure to find whatever you're looking for. The hotel itself is well-equipped, and the bathroom design is very thoughtful. I was really satisfied with my stay. Both check-in and check-out were smooth. It's definitely a hotel with great value for money.

Paying around 800 RMB a night for a hotel supposedly among Osaka's top 15 luxury establishments, plus a 400 JPY tax per night. My initial room was on the 7th floor, and it was terrible. The window was tiny, couldn't open, and faced another building closely. The room itself wasn't big, and the view outside was incredibly depressing. This kind of value could be found in Osaka for 400 RMB. The photo I took was pressed against the window, but in reality, it felt even smaller. I asked to be moved to a higher floor, but they initially said there were none, even though I could see rooms available on the booking platform, some even 100+ RMB cheaper than what I paid. A bit later, they said a 'bigger' room was available on a higher floor, facing the street, about 3 sq. meters larger, but it would cost an extra 120 RMB per night. I checked the platform again, and similar rooms were going for 700+ RMB. Why should I end up paying a cumulative 900 RMB? After two hours of negotiating through the platform, a ********* woman with a condescending tone told me they had made the change, implying 'if you don't have money, why are you traveling?' I ended up in a room on the highest floor, the 14th. However, the air conditioning was so loud I couldn't sleep, and with it being street-facing, there were motorcycles revving late into the night... Don't even get me started on the three nights of insomnia.

Right on Midosuji Avenue, with Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori just behind it, this location is absolutely central for shopping and dining. It's a 10-minute walk to Namba Station, making it super convenient for getting to Kansai Airport. Overall, highly recommended!

I've stayed here before when visiting Osaka. The front desk service was just okay. I arrived around noon and asked if I could check in, and they said yes, but it would cost half the room rate (😂). The shower head in the hotel was incredibly comfortable, but everything else was pretty standard. Its main advantage is being right outside Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. The window was tiny, though; the photo I took was with a wide-angle lens, just for reference.
