Despite knowing there’s a room with just a single bed for solo travellers, I went with then superior queen room as I’d like the bigger bed space. The room is cozy but is sufficient for me to unpack my luggage. Despite the low price, it has a smart tv for me to watch YouTube videos on the big screen and a free to use laundry station with detergent included. On the front desk, guest can take complimentary dental kits and shower caps only if they need it. The hotel is also excellently served by 6 Rapid Penang bus services along Lebuh Chulia which connects to Jetty and Komtar which are two of the most important bus nodes of Penang island. However as much as I like the room experience and staff service, I find the floor tiles of the shared male bathroom to be absolutely awful with one of the shower rooms having green grimes that I’m thankful I brought a pair of slippers with me to the shared bathroom. If you can look past the unsightly bathroom floor, I think that this is one of the best affordable hotel to stay in if you’re in George Town.

Booked the room with the private toilet which was on the ground floor. Spacious enough for one or two people. There is a bar next door which can be a bit noisy (coming from the bathroom) but closing the bathroom door helped and i didn’t have issues sleeping. Overall nice place and friendly staff.
