Sanya Marriott Yalong Bay Resort & Spa

Second time staying here, and I opted for the full sea view room. The front desk attendant specifically gave us a room on the seventh floor, close to the full sea view suite, which offered fantastic views. The hotel has a garden-style design with excellent greenery, and there are always gardeners tidying things up daily. There are two pools; the lagoon pool provides free swimming rings and towels, as well as basketballs and volleyballs for water sports. During the summer, it's packed with kids, especially a lot of Russians. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, and it's quiet and private.

The room was clean and comfortable, I didn't feel cramped at all. I really have to commend the service; the staff were all very friendly and helpful. When I had requests, the front desk handled them efficiently. Breakfast was decent, offering all the essentials. If you're not looking for excessive luxury and just want a solid, relaxing vacation, this place won't disappoint.

This time we came to Sanya for a vacation with our very young child, who is less than two years old. We chose the Yalong Bay Marriott, and overall, we were really satisfied with our stay. The hotel's location is excellent; you can walk through the grounds directly to the beach. In the mornings, we'd dig in the sand and play in the waves, and the hotel provides swimming rings and sand toys. We'd then go back for a shower and lunch, and in the afternoon, we'd sleep until 4 PM, then head to the pool until 5 or 6 PM. The child wasn't tired, and there were plenty of evening activities. The resort grounds are filled with tropical plants, and the lawns are beautifully maintained, making for great photo opportunities wherever you walk, instantly creating that vacation vibe. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. What I found most heartwarming was the service. All the staff were very polite, check-in was quick, and any requests were handled patiently and helpfully. They were also very gentle with children, and we often received small balloons from the recreation center staff along the way, which made our child very happy. The breakfast selection was extensive. It's truly suitable for a family vacation with children. This stay was wonderful, and if we come to Sanya again, we will definitely prioritize the Yalong Bay Marriott.

The deluxe sea view twin room was quite spacious, and even with a slightly off-center view, it offered a decent sea view. The location is definitely a huge advantage, being very close to the beach. The service was actually quite good and met the hotel's standards. One of my family members had a birthday approaching, and the hotel helped decorate the room for a celebration. I forgot to mention this during the post-stay callback, so I'd like to extend a special thank you here. As other reviews mentioned, the food isn't a major highlight. The complimentary seafood buffet dinner had a very limited selection of seafood dishes, and the oysters didn't seem very fresh. However, because the cafe was undergoing renovations, dining on the central lawn created a really nice ambiance, and there were no mosquitoes. Overall, it's a great choice for a family trip.

Time to check out, and I genuinely don't want to leave. I really want to give a special shout-out to our butler, Bailu – she deserves a big bonus! From check-in to check-out, she always responded to messages instantly and was incredibly efficient. What truly touched me was that I casually mentioned my preference for a scented room, and every day after that, Bailu arranged for essential oils to be added. Remembering and acting on such a small detail really made my stay exceptional. As for the hotel environment, Marriott's garden landscaping is absolutely stunning, with lush greenery everywhere and great privacy. Waking up to the sound of waves on the balcony and the scent of my favorite essential oils – that's exactly what a vacation should feel like. Next time I'm in Sanya, I'll definitely choose this place again, and I hope to meet Butler Bailu once more! 👍

If you can only choose one hotel in Yalong Bay, choose the Marriott. Scenery: Entering the lobby, it's high-ceilinged and spacious, with an unobstructed sea view. The sea breeze is gentle and cool, immediately putting you in vacation mode. This lobby alone is worth 90% of the room rate. Room: It's not huge, but the new renovation is a plus. A great detail is that the toilet and shower are separate, so you can use both at once. Most importantly, the dehumidification in the room is excellent, and there's a balcony for drying clothes. Breakfast: It's decent, but with a full variety. There are all kinds of buns, pastries, Western pastries, fruits, and vegetables. You often have to queue for the Eggs Benedict, but there's a very important surprise: the tofu pudding is absolutely delicious. No exaggeration, it's comparable to the wooden bucket tofu pudding at Cuiyuan (my husband said the spring rolls were also good, but I didn't find them as amazing as the tofu pudding). Service: The Blue Cat Butler was incredibly responsive, almost instantly replying to any request. Our child was there to celebrate a birthday, and due to our own reasons, the hotel cake wasn't delivered on time. After we mentioned it, Blue Cat immediately informed the catering department. For dinner, we chose the hotel's BBQ buffet, where there was a band playing, and they even sang 'Happy Birthday' to our child. Our child had a very happy birthday. Children's Facilities and Activities: The children's activities are very thoughtful, including cookie making, donut making, bead crafting, painting, cake decorating, and more. The activity center is also spacious, with a children's splash pool next to it, and a plant station further up where children can learn about various fruits and vegetables. Shared Spaces: Here's the highlight of the whole trip! In Yalong Bay, the Marriott holds a prime spot. The public beach is very open and close to the lobby, with shady trees. Whether in the morning or afternoon, you can find a shaded spot to relax. The straw hat hut also makes for great photos! Most importantly, the Marriott's beach doesn't have a noticeable steep slope; the sand meets the sea, and the sea meets the sky. Neighboring hotels already have very regrettable steep slopes and reefs, and I wonder how long the Marriott's beach can maintain its current condition. Of course, there are also some minor drawbacks. It would be better if the staff at the kids' club and a few individuals at the front desk could smile a bit more brightly.

The rooms are very new, much better than Tianyu and Mangrove. The public areas are relatively small. I booked the room through Ctrip, and the hotel called me around 11 AM on the day of check-in, but I missed the call. However, since I didn't check in before midnight that day, the hotel didn't try to contact me again, which was a bit disappointing. But the butler, Lan Mao, provided excellent service; her online communication was prompt and helpful. Thumbs up for her!

This was my first time staying at a Marriott in Yalong Bay, and I was impressed. The environment and facilities were excellent, the beach was lovely, and the breakfast spread was quite good. What truly stood out was the service; everyone from the greeters to our butler was fantastic. They upgraded our room upon arrival, and our butler kept in touch via WeChat, ensuring we were comfortable and even arranged a late checkout. They also gave us a complimentary cosmetic bag. It truly felt like a home away from home. Marriott definitely didn't disappoint. I'll be back!

The ocean-view room offered an unparalleled view, with the balcony directly facing the sea. The hotel beach was clean, the sand was fine, and the garden lawns were beautiful. The family-friendly facilities were comprehensive, making it very suitable for families with children. The service was attentive, check-in was smooth, and they even helped coordinate a late check-out. The resort atmosphere was perfect for a vacation. Highly recommended for family trips 🌊
