Kota Kinabalu Marriott Hotel

As expected from a top-tier hotel, my stay was excellent. The room was spacious with a fantastic view. I was extremely satisfied and highly recommend visiting.

The front desk service was excellent. Considering the street-facing rooms could be noisy at night, they kindly upgraded us to a sea-view room for free. From our window, we could see the infinity pool, blue sky, and the ocean, which was absolutely delightful. The hotel's location is fantastic, very close to both the airport and the city center, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. There are also many convenience stores and restaurants right outside. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kota Kinabalu for the first time.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a truly fantastic stay this time! Due to a typhoon, my flight schedule changed unexpectedly, but the hotel staff were all incredibly friendly and professional during my stay. They were also very willing to help us with all sorts of requests, which made us feel very at ease. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was excellent for sleeping. Housekeeping was impeccable every day. The infinity pool offered stunning views, especially the sunset, which was unforgettable. The gym was well-equipped, and the breakfast selection was extensive, with both local delicacies and Western dishes tasting delicious. The hotel's location is also very convenient. It's a short Grab ride to shopping malls, Gaya Street, and the waterfront, making it perfect for a trip to Kota Kinabalu. Although this trip ended up being extended by a few days due to the weather, it allowed us to enjoy the hotel's facilities and relaxed atmosphere even more. It actually became one of the most wonderful memories of the trip. I highly recommend staying here. I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Kota Kinabalu!

I was quite disappointed to be given a corner room with an obstructed sea view. The bathroom design is also not very family-friendly, as the shower and toilet stalls have clear glass walls, making it awkward for family members of different genders to use the bathroom at the same time. The breakfast was also just mediocre.

The infinity pool offers great views, and the surrounding shopping malls are very convenient. However, the hotel lobby had a noticeable sewer smell, which was quite unpleasant. Also, guests can't pay cash for the deposit, which I found to be very inconvenient.

The rooms facing the street are too noisy; cars were revving their engines all night long. The sea view or partial sea view rooms are pretty good and offer great value for money. The facilities are a bit old, but the location is central and convenient for getting around. The infinity pool and the rooftop restaurant both have excellent views, perfect for watching stunning sunsets.
