MGM Grand Sanya

Yalong Bay is absolutely fantastic! The water is crystal clear. The MGM Hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Yalong Bay. The hotel's public areas are lovely, and there are quite a few pools, so if you love to swim, you'll definitely enjoy it here! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable for sleeping. The decor is a little dated, as the hotel has been around for a while, but it's very well-maintained, so no need to worry. Don't pay attention to those negative reviews online, just come and enjoy!

The hotel is grand and the staff are all very enthusiastic. There are animal parades, a seaside zipline, and a small train. It's great for kids, with various parent-child activities every day, and the pool is beautiful! The children's pool also has small slides and a 'little trumpet' feature. The staff are all dedicated and responsible, and access to the beach is very convenient, with the sea right nearby and clear water! The butler was very welcoming and responded quickly to our requests!

MGM Grand Sanya in Yalong Bay truly lives up to its reputation as a top choice for family vacations! The private beach is absolutely amazing, with crystal-clear water and fine, soft sand. The hotel offers a fantastic array of facilities for kids, including multiple swimming pools, a water park, and a kids' club, keeping the little ones entertained for hours. Breakfast is bountiful, the rooms are spotless with excellent sea views, and the evening shows are spectacular. It's a hassle-free, all-in-one resort experience that's both relaxing and comfortable. Highly recommend for families with children!

This is my fourth time in Sanya, and my first time staying at MGM. We stayed for three nights, and the room was cleaned every morning. There are two restaurants for breakfast, and our room type on a lower floor was very convenient with kids. Our butler, Shuai, was also excellent and very responsive to all our requests. We'll definitely be back! Shouldn't MGM open a separate store for their amazing milk tea?

Perfect for families with kids! All the pools have plenty of security staff constantly watching over your little ones, and they provide free arm floats. I've stayed at many family-friendly hotels, but few offer this level of safety and thoughtfulness. With my 2-year-old and 8-year-old, we could truly relax. The activities were abundant, and the evening M show was fantastic; the kids absolutely loved it. All in all, we were completely satisfied – it was thoughtful, meticulous, and thorough.

The hotel offers a good variety of family activities. You'll need to plan ahead to make the most of them, otherwise you might run out of time. The pool, beach, and BBQ buffet were great, and the hotel's own show was really impressive! We stayed for two nights, and the performances weren't repetitive; each time offered a new surprise.

Choosing MGM for a family trip was absolutely the right decision! There were so many activities for kids: we dug for sand crabs, joined the fluorescent surfing party, painted canvas bags, and even got to touch a little white snake. The sea-view room was also fantastic; we woke up to ocean views every morning. The staff were all super friendly, always proactively asking if we needed anything and offering help. Awesome!

Ten years ago, I stayed at the MGM with my kids! This time, I didn't hesitate to choose it again! It's not as run-down as some online reviews suggest! We felt it was just as good as ever! The butler was attentive and responsive to all our requests! They even arranged for some little lion toys for us! My older child had a great time too! We'll definitely stay here again next time!

Even though I'm not big on taking photos, I still highly recommend the MGM Grand Sanya at Yalong Bay. You truly understand the difference between traveling and vacationing once you visit Sanya, and the MGM is where you can fully experience what a real vacation feels like. No need to rush to attractions or stand in lines for photo ops; there are plenty of activities, big and small, to enjoy happily by the pool and at the beach. The sunshine, music, sand, and waves will absolutely cure all your worries. For breakfast, I strongly suggest the local Hainanese specialty restaurant on the first floor – it's small but exquisite. After your meal, grab a local coffee to go and relax on the beach; that's how you kick off a perfect day!
