Baan Suan Lung Wat (Near Surakul Pier)

Highly recommended! It's very peaceful, perfect for introverts. There's even a fish pond!

It's a bit tucked away, or perhaps it was because I went in the evening, but the ambiance was great.

The entrance was a bit complicated to find, but the price was good, the food was delicious, and the surrounding atmosphere was excellent.

I'll start with the positives: the place is very beautiful, and apparently its main purpose is fishing. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable, if there are two of you, not more. We couldn't find the location for a long time, as the hotel listing indicated a completely different location, 7 km from the actual location. After a long drive, we spent two hours searching and were already planning to look for another place when they sent us the actual location. Why can't it be listed on the hotel listing? We booked a room for two adults and a 13-year-old child. It was listed as having a large double bed and a sofa bed. In reality, it wasn't a sofa bed, but a small ottoman measuring 130 x 150 cm (at best). Since we arrived late, we didn't do anything, and my husband slept curled up on the sofa bed, with the extension to the sofa bed constantly sliding away from the main part of the sofa bed during the night. There were no sheets for the sofa, just a pillow and some kind of blanket without a cover. After I begged the worker, he gave us a "sheet" half the size of the sofa. We ended up covering one half with the sheet and the other with a towel. We've been traveling around Thailand by car for two weeks, and after long drives, a good night's rest is very important for everyone. My husband couldn't get any rest here! And another important point: I didn't want to write a negative review, so I asked questions in the hotel chat. Unfortunately, no one answered them. Apparently, no one at this property cares about how their guests are relaxing and what problems they're having. It's a shame!

A spacious cottage in a quiet rural area. Overall, it's clean and the amenities are in good condition. It has a large refrigerator and a quiet air conditioner. There's parking on the property. There's a fish pond, a restaurant, and a coffee shop. It's missing nightstands, chairs, and shelves. There were mouse droppings here and there in the cottage. The access road isn't marked on maps. On Google Maps, the location is marked as ครัวนายแดน@บ้านสวนลุงหวัด. Coming from Phang Nga, take a sharp left turn into the village. Then, at the sign, turn right along the concrete road to the campsite.

Great little house. Very clean and cozy. The cafe serves delicious food and the prices are reasonable. The only thing is there are a lot of mosquitoes at sunset. There weren't any at night.
