LIZZY • Ritz Hotel on Harbin Central Street

This hotel, located on Sandaogai Street, boasts an amazing location right off Central Avenue. Whether you want to see the streetscape, river views, or St. Sophia Cathedral, it's all within easy walking distance! Honestly, as a Harbin university student from 2003, this is the first time in over 20 years I've seen Central Avenue deserted in the early morning! It was a truly unique experience. The hotel itself is a classic European-style building, and the public areas, breakfast, and decor are all excellent. The only real drawback is the small room size, but considering its prime location in the Central Avenue business district, it's still very good. For this price, location, and ambiance, the value for money is absolutely superb. The breakfast was incredibly satisfying and fueled me up! The service was exceptional – truly genuine and thoughtful, much more personalized than the standard procedures you find in larger hotels. My only minor complaints are that the gym is pretty abysmal and almost negligible, and since this was a last-minute trip, for some reason they assigned me a room at the very end of the hallway, which felt a bit odd!!!

The decor is very grand; if you love European style, you definitely shouldn't miss this place. The location is excellent, right outside is Central Street, and it's also very close to the Flood Control Monument. It's a shame I only stayed one night. The breakfast was plentiful, and the service was attentive, especially a shout-out to Minghui. There were welcome fruits, and when we checked out, they even gave us a souvenir and a fridge magnet. Next time I come to Harbin, I will definitely stay here again. These are my genuine thoughts.

This place has really unique decor, and the service is excellent. They even offer a complimentary afternoon tea. The breakfast spread is quite good, and the location is great – quiet but still central. Laochujia restaurant is right next door, and that famous Iron Pot Stew place is also very close. We found it really convenient to walk to the riverside and the cable car.

Harbin is a beautiful and bustling city, and this hotel, located right by Central Street, offers a quiet retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. It's incredibly convenient for exploring and dining. My stay was great, and all the staff I encountered were warm and polite. The hotel's overall decor is unique, especially the lobby and front hall, which are quite thoughtfully designed. In some ways, it reminded me of the castle hotels I've stayed in in Spain. The room size wasn't huge, but the bathroom was quite spacious, and all the facilities were perfectly fine. I also want to highlight two great features that aren't often mentioned: 1. It's very convenient for self-driving. Even though parking at the hotel entrance is limited, when I arrived late at night, I left my car keys with the staff, and they helped move the car (they also handled the paid parking fees). 2. The laundry service is fantastic. I thought the laundry room would be self-service, but when I went in the evening, there were staff members there to assist with washing and drying. It was a very thoughtful touch for travelers.

The hotel's decor has a warm, Russian-inspired heavy style that I absolutely love. Breakfast is plentiful, a great mix of Chinese and Western options, and the afternoon tea is quite charming, perfect for enjoying a slow pace of life. All the staff members are incredibly enthusiastic and attentive. It was the first time my child wrote a thank you note, appreciating the thoughtful service from the 'big brothers and sisters'.

Facilities: A particularly beautiful hotel 🏨 with a very unique aesthetic. Cleanliness: Very clean, excellent. Ambiance: Every corner was stunning. Service: The staff were very thoughtful, and the servers were all warm and attentive. They even gave a small gift to my child when we left.

Five stars, highly recommend the Ocean Ritz Hotel! It's right in the heart of Central Street, within walking distance to St. Sophia Cathedral and the Hongzhuan Street morning market, making it super convenient for getting around and exploring local food. The European retro decor creates a fantastic atmosphere, and the rooms are clean and tidy with comfortable, soft bedding. The front desk and room service staff were warm, attentive, and responsive, ensuring a pleasant stay throughout. This is my top choice for accommodation when visiting Harbin. The breakfast was also excellent.

Facilities: The bed was just the right firmness, and the bathroom had a stylish tub. Hygiene: Clean, and the family room even came with special toiletries for children. Environment: It's a peaceful oasis right next to Central Street. Service: Absolutely excellent! All the staff were incredibly kind and made us feel so welcome.
