The Park Front Hotel at Universal Studios Japan

As a hotel linked to Universal Studios, I felt there weren't many kid-friendly activities, and the amenities seemed a bit lacking. The overall theme is New York-style, so I couldn't really spot many Universal elements in terms of IP. Of course, the facilities and cleanliness were still up to standard.

Last year, in early August, the same room cost around 1700, but this year, booking two months in advance, it was only a little over 500. Honestly, the hotel being so affordable was a major reason why I came back to visit again. The bathroom has a standard Japanese-style wet/dry separation, which even some much pricier hotels I stayed in later didn't offer. The amenities included something for relaxing your feet, haha, it still makes me laugh thinking about it! If you check in early, you can request a room with a view of Universal Studios. Universal Citywalk is right downstairs. There's enough space to lay out two 32-inch suitcases flat.

The location is fantastic, right on the shopping street outside Universal Studios' gates, which is super convenient. It's only a three to four-minute walk to Universal. The hotel itself is quite large, and we had a great view of the entire park from our window. The hotel restaurant was also good. My only minor complaint is that there was a slight odor in the room.

This is my second stay here. The location is absolutely fantastic, and the room is spacious. It feels pretty much the same as when I visited two years ago. The only minor drawback is that the room is a bit dated and the bed is a bit hard.

The hotel doesn't provide complimentary drinking water, and there's no in-room water dispenser system. So, every time I wanted water or to make instant noodles, I had to go downstairs to buy it. After a long day, or first thing in the morning, having to get ready and go out just for water is really inconvenient. The TV is old and only shows hotel information. The toilet and shower are separate but extremely small. I didn't get a room upgrade, so my view was of the normal street downstairs, not Universal Studios. They also charged an extra 1200 JPY for two nights as a city tax.

This hotel is right next to the JR station, and the rooms are really big and spacious. The best part is how close it is to Universal Studios; it's only about a 10-minute walk from the hotel entrance to the ticket gate. So convenient!

The room is quite spacious and very clean! The bed faces the window, so you can see the USJ park as soon as you wake up. The night view is also beautiful, and you can even observe the queue situation during the day. It's less than a 3-minute walk to USJ. Overall, a fantastic stay!
