Taking the Tram from Edinburgh Airport, I got off at Picardy Place and the hotel was right across the street. The location is decent; it's about a 10-minute walk uphill to Waverley Train Station. There's a Tesco right next to the hotel and a large shopping center about 200 meters away. Plenty of restaurants nearby too. I stayed in a top-floor room, which was just so-so (see pictures). A plus was the Type C charging port next to the bed, very convenient. The downside, at least in my room, was a sporadic vibrating noise during the day. It stopped at night, and I'm not sure what it was, especially since my room was far from the elevators. Speaking of which, there are two elevators, but only one serves the 6th floor. Breakfast was as pictured; the same items for both days, no variety. There was a kettle in the room. I was able to check in about half an hour early, which was nice.

Lovely hotel quite cross to train station. The front desk service is fantastic. The lady provides early check in. So far this is the 1st I got for early check in by 11am in UK. Great room for 4 ppl or families. Ease to walk around the beautiful Edinburgh city. The breakfast is good so you can enjoy lovely British Breakfast.

Cons: The room was a bit small; we couldn't even fully open our suitcases. There were three of us, with one double bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed felt a bit unstable and scary. The price was too high for the summer holidays, making it poor value for money. Pros: It's not far from the train station and several attractions, and Calton Hill is only about a 10-minute walk away, so it's quite convenient overall. The breakfast was decent, but the variety was limited.

The location is very convenient, close to attractions, but the room's soundproofing is poor, so it's quite noisy at night. There's no fridge in the room, which is inconvenient. The staff are all very friendly, but the triple room is a bit small.

The location is at city center, extremely convenient. Next to a Tram station. The room is very clean. The breakfast is great, making me feel energetic in the morning. If I will visit Edinburgh again, I will choose this hotel again.

The hotel's location is excellent, with a tram stop right across the street, making all attractions within walking distance. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, and the complimentary tea, coffee, and water available all day were a lovely and thoughtful touch. Our room was comfortable and quiet, perfectly adequate for a couple. Everything was wonderful, and a big thank you to everyone. If I ever come back to Edinburgh, I'll definitely stay at this hotel again. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The location is pretty good, only a ten-minute walk to the train station. The room is small, and the mattress quality isn't great, making my back uncomfortable when sleeping. The English breakfast offers a mediocre variety and quality, and it's quite crowded, with staff struggling to keep up, leading to some disarray. The price isn't cheap, comparable to London.

An absolutely fantastic experience! The room was spacious and spotless, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. We had an early train at 6 AM the next day, and they were kind enough to let us have breakfast ahead of time. Edinburgh is amazing! This hotel is excellent, and the breakfast was delicious – I'd even say it's better than Makars in Edinburgh!

The hotel reception staff were really friendly, and there's complimentary coffee, tea, and hot water. However, the overall facilities are a bit old, the room was dark, and breakfast was just average. On the plus side, the location is excellent, not far from the train station and attractions.
