Kuandu Hotel(Nanjing Laomendong Branch)

This is our third time booking this hotel! Every time we visit Nanjing, this is our top choice, especially since our child absolutely loves it. We always have a very comfortable stay; the environment is great and very clean. The owner clearly has good taste – the hotel is beautiful, and the bedding is so comfortable to sleep on. The front desk staff are all wonderful and very welcoming. This time, they even gave us a free room upgrade! The two cleaning ladies were also fantastic and always happy to help. If we get the chance to come back, we'll definitely stay here again. It's so convenient for getting around, and Old Gate East is right outside the door.

1. There are a few cats in the lobby on the first floor, they are very friendly, and the environment is decorated acceptably. However, it's stuffy and hot in summer, and without air conditioning, there's a strong pet odor that makes you not want to stay long. 2. My room was on the second basement level. The sanitary napkins sometimes smelled, and even with mosquito repellent plugged in 24/7, there were always bugs flying around. I got bitten quite badly on the first night. 3. Perhaps because it's underground, even with the air conditioning on constantly, my underwear wouldn't dry even after a day and a night, and they started to smell. I had to rewash them and take them for drying. 4. It's really far from the subway station, and the walk to the station is very sunny with very few shaded sections. This walk alone, before even reaching any attractions, already depleted a lot of my energy. The only advantages are its proximity to Laomendong and decent service. Overall, I feel this place is not suitable for a summer stay.

The hotel's location is excellent; it's right near Laomendong, but the surrounding area is surprisingly quiet. It's also very close to attractions like the Confucius Temple, all within walking distance. The room was spacious, and the front desk attendant was wonderful – she even upgraded our room. Housekeeping was prompt and efficient. Highly recommend!

This hotel has a magical charm. Once you're in, you just want to stay and sleep, not go out sightseeing. Seriously, every time I enter this hotel, all I want to do is sleep. It's truly perfect for light sleepers. The environment is great, and the front desk staff are lovely. It's a quiet haven in a bustling area, not as crowded as I expected. Plus, it's very close to the City Wall Museum, definitely worth a visit.

The hotel's design layout is excellent, and the surrounding amenities easily meet daily needs. Tourist attractions are incredibly convenient, with Laomendong and Zhonghua Gate Castle right nearby.
