Kuandu Hotel(Nanjing Laomendong Branch)

I was incredibly satisfied with this stay! The mattress had just the right firmness, making it super comfortable to sleep on. I woke up the next day without any back pain or fatigue; the overall sleep experience was excellent. My friend also specifically told me to praise the TV—it's truly amazing! Not only could we find many classic old shows, but we could also watch them with bullet comments. Watching shows in bed at night created a fantastic atmosphere; it really enhanced the experience. The staff's service was also excellent. They were always eager to help warm up anything we needed. The entire check-in process felt comfortable and thoughtful. If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be the pillows. They were a bit too low for us, but using two would have made them too high. It would be even better if there were different pillow heights to choose from. Aside from that, everything else was truly satisfactory! And there were three super cute kittens that weren't afraid of people at all. They even followed us all the way to the elevator and into our room, which was adorable and added a lot of unexpected joy and happiness to our stay. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I would definitely come back again if I have the chance!

The location is fantastic, right opposite Librairie Avant-Garde. Both the interior and exterior are lovely, and the atmosphere is superb. I especially want to commend the front desk lady – she was incredibly thoughtful and responsible. Not only did she recommend authentic Nanjing cuisine, but she also offered sightseeing suggestions based on my itinerary; she was like a personal travel consultant! She personally showed me to my room upon check-in and handed me the room card with both hands – full marks for attention to detail. It was a truly warm and welcoming stay, highly recommended!

The host was very kind, and there were cats too. The Chinese-style courtyard had a great vibe.

This is our third time booking this hotel! Every time we visit Nanjing, this is our top choice, especially since our child absolutely loves it. We always have a very comfortable stay; the environment is great and very clean. The owner clearly has good taste – the hotel is beautiful, and the bedding is so comfortable to sleep on. The front desk staff are all wonderful and very welcoming. This time, they even gave us a free room upgrade! The two cleaning ladies were also fantastic and always happy to help. If we get the chance to come back, we'll definitely stay here again. It's so convenient for getting around, and Old Gate East is right outside the door.

1. There are a few cats in the lobby on the first floor, they are very friendly, and the environment is decorated acceptably. However, it's stuffy and hot in summer, and without air conditioning, there's a strong pet odor that makes you not want to stay long. 2. My room was on the second basement level. The sanitary napkins sometimes smelled, and even with mosquito repellent plugged in 24/7, there were always bugs flying around. I got bitten quite badly on the first night. 3. Perhaps because it's underground, even with the air conditioning on constantly, my underwear wouldn't dry even after a day and a night, and they started to smell. I had to rewash them and take them for drying. 4. It's really far from the subway station, and the walk to the station is very sunny with very few shaded sections. This walk alone, before even reaching any attractions, already depleted a lot of my energy. The only advantages are its proximity to Laomendong and decent service. Overall, I feel this place is not suitable for a summer stay.

The hotel's location is excellent; it's right near Laomendong, but the surrounding area is surprisingly quiet. It's also very close to attractions like the Confucius Temple, all within walking distance. The room was spacious, and the front desk attendant was wonderful – she even upgraded our room. Housekeeping was prompt and efficient. Highly recommend!
