Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel

After a previous 5-night stay, I recently spent another 4 nights at the Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel. It was just as warm, clean, and welcoming as before. This time, the hotel upgraded me to a high-floor room (53rd floor). All the staff were as enthusiastic as ever, always greeting guests proactively. If I needed water at night, I could simply call the front desk from my room and it would be delivered within minutes. There's also a dessert shop in the lobby with delicious cakes 😋.

Right opposite Tennoji JR Station, the hotel boasts incredibly convenient transportation. Kintetsu Department Store is downstairs, and the MIO shopping mall is across the street, with other malls nearby, making shopping and dining easily accessible. This time, I stayed on the 46th floor, with Tennoji Park right outside the window and beautiful scenery of mountains in the distance. The entire hotel is non-smoking indoors, and the toiletries are high-quality (definitely a fan!) and plentiful. Overall, it's a great hotel with excellent value for money.

I didn't encounter any strange smells in the room; it was actually very nice. The service was excellent, and the views were fantastic. They even gave us tickets to the observation deck. Getting around was super convenient, with the subway and JR right downstairs.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, with a subway station right downstairs. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. My impression of the hotel is almost perfect, truly impressive. It would be even better if the bathroom had a clothesline for drying laundry.

I genuinely think the Osaka Marriott is the best value-for-money Marriott I've ever stayed at, from the 6000+ won Jeju Marriott to Marriotts in China and Europe. Not only is it incredibly clean, but everything is also so user-friendly and convenient. The room cleaning was very timely, amenities were well-stocked, and it was a very comfortable stay. The Tennoji location is also excellent; you don't need to transfer trains to get anywhere. I used the Kansai Thru Pass, taking the JR Osaka Loop Line for nearby places and the Kuroshio express for further destinations like Kii-Katsuura – it was very useful. I booked a connecting room and requested a high floor, which they accommodated by giving me a room on the 52nd floor, though it faced south. Next time, it would be even better if I could get a north-facing room. Before going, I read some reviews and was concerned about a potential smell in the room. When we checked in, there was no smell at all. However, after going out one day and returning, I noticed a slight odor. I cranked the air conditioning to max and lowered the temperature, and after a while, the smell was gone. Others might want to try this if they encounter the same issue. Oh, and the breakfast is pretty good; at least they have Udon noodles and curry rice. You can also make your own dorayaki. Overall, I give it a five-star recommendation.

This is always my go-to hotel whenever I visit Osaka, a definite must-stay. I won't even bother mentioning how convenient its location is. This time, I was pleasantly surprised to find so many thoughtful little details added since last year. For example, as soon as the elevator reaches the 19th floor, a concierge takes your luggage and another staff member assists with check-in. Even standard rooms now have a welcome gift. After the turndown service in the evening, they provide the next day's weather forecast and a goodnight treat. It's these small touches that truly impress a detail-oriented person like me. I sincerely hope the hotel continues to thrive.

This is our third stay at this hotel. The location is convenient, close to Kansai Airport – only a 40-minute Haruka ride away – and also easily accessible to other shopping districts. Nara and Kobe are both less than an hour's travel. The room hygiene is excellent, and amenities are complete. Breakfast also meets our needs.
