The Sea Resort Haad Rin

Everyone was extremely helpful and the location was close to everything you would need. The view from the pool was gorgeous as well.

I really enjoyed my stay, especially the location. It was only a 15-minute walk to the Full Moon Party, and having a new 7-Eleven right across the hotel was super convenient. The only downsides for me were that the staff didn’t feel very welcoming, and the breakfast was quite basic with limited options. Other than that, I had a good experience and would stay here again for the location.

We loved the location, near to the beautiful Haad Rin beach, the pool and being next to the sea. Free use of the kayaks and stand up paddle boards was a plus. They also help to organise a shared taxi to the pier for 200 baht which was very convenient. Unfortunately, we found the services lacking. We were told at check in, if we wanted the rooms cleaned to inform reception. We asked for the bins to be emptied but it never happened. The breakfast was fine, option of eggs, a different cooked option each day (pad se ew, rice and pasta during our stay), salad, fruit and mainly white bread (the final day there was brown bread). We would have rathered a Thai option each day. The main problem we encountered was the bar next to us having a party with loud, thumping music until 4am. This is not for the faint hearted, if you get a room beside the pool, it literally vibrates the room. Even earplugs wouldn't cover it. Further, the people at the party were using the pool, this was during the early hours also. At 2am, I complained to the manager and he let us move to a quieter room to sleep. This was a 'premium' room, further from the beach, it smelt of damp and sewage. But with little choice to get sleep before our ferry the next day we felt it was our only option.

We booked the deluxe villa with a bathroom because I was particularly drawn to the design of having a small pool in the courtyard. I used it daily, and the privacy felt palpable once I locked the front door. The rooms were well-separated, featuring a cozy living room with a ceiling fan, tables, chairs, and a TV. The bedroom and bathroom were decent-sized and equipped with all the essentials. The daily coffee and bottled water were a pleasant surprise. However, the reception staff were friendly, but the restaurant, bar, and breakfast staff were cold and unfriendly. We only needed to request a room cleaning once, and it was done quickly, but it didn’t feel thorough. Three ladies arrived with cleaning supplies, but they left within 3-5 minutes, changing the towels and water, but not doing much else. We believe you should request a room cleaning, at least that’s what we felt. The breakfast was basic and didn’t get replenished quickly. One morning, we had breakfast and discovered that the milk was spoiled. It had mixed with our coffee and cereal, so we had to leave it. The staff were always cold and unfriendly during breakfast and later at the bar and restaurant. On the positive side, the view from the pool was excellent, and it was peaceful and relaxing to be there. However, I noticed some weeds and smoke around the area, which made me feel a bit sick after inhaling it for a while, even though I’m a non-smoker.
