Guangxi Longhu Mountain Scenic Area(Longhu Mountain, Nanning)

Guangxi is home to many natural wonders, and Dushan Mountain is a hidden gem located about 13 km from the ancient city of Rongzhou in the suburbs of Yulin's Rong County. The mountain is not crowded with tourists, but the scenery is stunning. The mountain is surrounded by towering peaks, lush forests, and emerald lakes that are like jewels set among the strange peaks and rocks. Dushan Mountain is a typical Danxia landform, similar in style to Wuyi Mountain, Danxia Mountain, and Longhu Mountain, but with more compact attractions that can be visited in half a day. The highest altitude here is 743 meters, with tranquil villages at the foot of the mountain and a high forest coverage rate in the mountains, providing fresh air that is refreshing. The most delightful thing is that the daytime temperature in winter can still reach above 20 degrees Celsius, which is very comfortable. Dushan Mountain is also a sacred place for Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, with strange peaks, many caves, secluded valleys, and dangerous paths. Liu Gen, Hua Ziqi, and Ge Hong all practiced here during the Han and Jin dynasties, and Xu Xiake left his handwriting on the mountain, while Su Dongpo left behind legends. The huge "Buddha" character on Qingshou Rock is a classic attraction in the scenic area, standing 108 meters high and 88 meters wide, and was personally inscribed by Mr. Zhao Puchu. Qingshou Rock is the final stop of the sightseeing bus, and the lawn in front of the giant Buddha character is a popular photo spot. Along the hiking trail, you can see the remains of the Five Hundred Arhats Hall and other relics, with ancient temples deep in the mountains that are solemn and majestic, surrounded by vegetation, like a paradise on earth. The scenic area has multiple attractions, and it is recommended to take the sightseeing bus for transportation. Nowadays, the cable car makes it easier and faster to reach the top of the mountain, providing an immersive viewing experience that makes the journey more enjoyable. Ticket + cable car + sightseeing bus: CNY 125 Adult ticket: CNY 76, parent-child ticket (1 adult + 1 child): CNY 116, discounted ticket (children, students, seniors): CNY 40. Free admission for seniors over 65 years old/children under 6 years old or under 1.2 meters. Cable car one-way time: 15 minutes, round trip: 30 minutes, please allow enough time. Classic photo spots: Dushan Temple, Dushan Bridge, Dushan Village and Longchuan Village, Glass Bridge, Lotus Rock Taoist Temple, etc.

Try not to bring a bag at all ▫️Wear comfortable sneakers, and use sun protection and mosquito repellent ▫️Don't chase the monkeys or try to touch them; it's safer to observe them from a distance 🌿My experience The mountain forest is lush and green, and the air is very fresh You'll encounter "welcoming" monkeys, "ground force" monkeys, and "air force" monkeys along the way You can buy monkey food inside the park to feed them No need to rush for bamboo raft schedules; you can take your time hiking and watching the monkeys, which is perfect for families with young children

In the cold winter season, the macaques of Longhu Mountain enter their "peak beauty period + peak activity period," continuing their usual "business," and their diving performances are never missed! This is also the macaques' mating season, with male and female macaques showing red cheeks, unique "red eye lines" around their eyes, and pink bottoms, making them highly recognizable. Additionally, winter is the end of their molting period, so their fur is dense, smooth, fluffy, and shiny, maximizing their appearance. Natural food in the mountain forest decreases in winter, so the macaques appear regularly every day to forage, and the scenic area provides two fixed daily feedings to keep them full of energy. Don’t worry about them getting cold from diving; their fur naturally has a "waterproof buff," so they shake dry once ashore and are not afraid of the cold. When it’s cold, the macaque family huddles together for warmth, creating an incredibly cute and heartwarming fluffy scene. For those planning a winter trip, consider visiting Longhu Mountain. Here, you can interact closely with these stunning and energetic macaques and experience their unique charm. Come to Longhu Mountain and start a wonderful encounter with the macaques!
