Silverland Yen Hotel

To be honest, this was my first time visiting Vietnam. I've stayed at many hotels here, and you really have to read the reviews very carefully when looking for accommodation in Vietnam. I highly recommend this place mainly because of its super convenient location—less than a 5-minute walk to Ben Thanh Market and a 16-minute walk to the Book Street, with a 7-Eleven right next door. The rooms are simple, clean, and tidy. Shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and body lotion are all provided. The hair dryer is similar to a Dyson model (though a different brand)—very powerful and great for drying hair. On the first day, I stayed on the 3rd floor (the sink was a bit clogged), but the 2nd day on the 8th floor was much better. The hotel also offers a laundry service. However, one downside is that the soundproofing from the next room is quite poor, though coming and going in the hallway was quiet. Requesting a corner room might be a bit better. As for breakfast, there weren't many options on the buffet that caught my eye, but you can order fried eggs, sandwiches, and other items à la carte. Overall, I think it's a great hotel. While we were waiting to check in, they served us welcome snacks 🥧. Such a thoughtful touch! They are really considerate—when we changed rooms, we forgot our Yakult in the fridge, and they had already transferred it to the fridge in our new room.

My stay in Ho Chi Minh City this time can be described as “unexpectedly comfortable.” The hotel facilities aren't new and gleaming in a modern style, but they are well-maintained, and all necessary functions are available. In fact, because it’s not brand new, it has an added sense of old-school hotel charm and stability. Staying here is very relaxing, and my sleep quality was excellent. The hotel itself offers afternoon tea, which I was quite looking forward to. However, the location is so good, with so many delicious food options and fun things to do nearby, that I lost track of time every day I went out. In the end, I sadly missed the afternoon tea. But looking at it from another perspective, it just shows that the location is truly fantastic. The location is definitely the biggest plus for this hotel. It’s very close to the Independence Palace, within walking distance, and convenient for visiting other attractions. Even more surprisingly, I happened to catch Ho Chi Minh City’s free bus service. I just hopped on directly when I went out, which was hassle-free and saved money – a completely satisfying experience. If you're visiting Ho Chi Minh City, this hotel is definitely worth checking out.

My overall stay was excellent. The hotel environment was comfortable and tidy, and the room was clean, spacious, and had a very comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and attentive, making both check-in and check-out smooth. The hotel's location is also very convenient, with good transportation links and amenities nearby. The breakfast selection was rich, and I was satisfied with the overall service and facilities. It was a very pleasant stay, and I would definitely choose this hotel again if I have the chance. Highly recommended! The sky pool garden is particularly noteworthy!

I really enjoyed my interactions with the hotel staff. The hotel itself is decent, and the rooftop pool is beautiful. The room was standard for this type of hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, but in my opinion, the price is inflated compared to neighboring hotels.

The location was fantastic and convenient for getting everywhere. Although there wasn't a huge variety at breakfast, everything I tried was delicious, and it was great that the menu changed for my two-night stay. From 2 PM, it was afternoon tea time, and the food served was also delicious. Plus, there was live music, creating an elegant and relaxing tea experience. The room was a bit small but spotlessly clean, making for a pleasant stay. The shower did tend to wet the floor quite a bit (perhaps it's how I used it?), but it dried quickly, so it wasn't an issue. What really stood out was how friendly and seemingly happy all the staff were, and their service was excellent. We mistakenly thought the hotel had a spa (the spa is actually at a sister hotel) and asked the front desk (in English, which I only understand at an elementary level) to book a massage. They said it opened at 9 AM and they would book it for us once it opened. So we requested a 7 PM reservation and headed out (at this point, I still thought the hotel spa was in a separate building). While we were out, I talked to my mother and realized that they had booked us at a place unrelated to the hotel. We then worried we wouldn't know how to get to this independent massage parlor (they had shown me the massage parlor on a phone screen when they offered to book, but I hadn't properly checked as I thought it was the hotel's spa). When we returned to the hotel, I wondered if the same front desk person would still be there, but to our surprise, they must have anticipated we might be confused about the location. They showed us their phone screen and explained, 'Your reservation is for 7 PM, please go here.' They were incredibly kind and helpful, and I'm very grateful! The massage itself was also excellent, and I was thoroughly satisfied!
