I almost never leave negative reviews because I understand how difficult hospitality can be, but this stay was so frustrating and so wildly misaligned with the hotel’s premium branding that it honestly feels insulting to guests who understand even the basics of service.
Limited service and self check in can work, but not at this price and not with this level of execution. Luggage storage means being sent to self service lockers that are already full, then hauling bags back to reception anyway. A family room arrives with only two towels. Amenities and bathrobes are left in the lobby for guests to collect themselves, and even the café and bar require ringing a bell to find staff. Earlier on this same trip, a similarly priced hotel managed the surprisingly effective concept of welcoming guests, helping with luggage, and checking them in with actual human beings, still a surprisingly effective concept in hospitality.
Housekeeping was poor, the room barely straightened, wet towels left in the tub, a badly remade bed, and little done beyond emptying the garbage and replacing a couple of towels. Breakfast was worse, no egg station, just runny scrambled eggs and under steamed eggs with a minimal, low quality selection, the restaurant feeling closer to a school canteen than a hotel dining room.
To be fair, the outdoor space is pleasant and the family evening activities are genuinely excellent, which only makes the rest harder to understand. The rooms are functional but uninspired, with a sink awkwardly placed in the bedroom, and very little that resembles premium hospitality.
Unless nearby four or five star hotels are somehow 50 percent more expensive, or you specifically want the public bath, this is simply not a good choice. At this price, the stay feels overpriced and lacking real value.
