City Plaza Osaka HOTEL & SPA

This hotel is aimed at businesses and corporation mainly , I wouldn’t recommend for someone on vacation . Huge modern building, but within it is a poorly designed Hotel . Restaurant and Bar not pleasant. The food is very average for a Japanese hotel. There is zero space to sit and rest or work outside of your room, sit anywhere other than your room you will get moved on. There is a garden space but it’s not allowed to be entered, you are also not allowed to open your hotel room window. Also gym and leisure facilities are at an extra cost of 2750 yen each, for an old gym this is not good value anywhere in the world. Again if you have a conference in the building great - otherwise go elsewhere. The views from the building are its best feature.

I had a really pleasant stay at City Plaza Osaka. The location is not right in the middle of the main tourist areas, but it’s also not too far — around 25–30 minutes by train to most popular spots. The nearest station is Sakaisuji-Hommachi, and it takes about 8 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. One important tip if you’re coming straight from the airport with luggage: use Exit 15 at Sakaisuji-Hommachi Station. There is an escalator there, which makes things much easier with suitcases. Google Maps may direct you to Exit 12, but that exit has a long flight of stairs and carrying luggage up there is honestly quite a struggle! The main reason I booked this hotel was because of the onsen, and it definitely did not disappoint. After spending the whole day walking around Osaka, being able to come back and relax in the onsen was absolutely worth it. The onsen was one of the highlights of my stay and I would happily stay here again because of it.

A cozy and perfect spot to transfer to everywhere. The staff was friendly and polite. I will definitely stay there again!

I loved the view of this hotel from the outside and well as the view from my room. But what I DID NOT LIKE WAS THE BED. The bed was HARDDDDD. Loved the heated toilet seats, and the public bath (it was my first time doing that), the PJ set was nice too, you wear them to the public bath and in the room no where else. They provide you with information on how to properly use the public bath.The room was a decent size for the area. 8 min walk from the subway. 20 min walk from Osaka Castle. The area itself is VERY CALM, not to much going on aside from Osaka Castle.

Hotel was nice and quiet, my room was almost next to the lift but I never really heard it. The room was small, but ok for a solo traveler who spent not a lot of time there. The proximity to Osaka castle is worth mentioning as well as the availability of the subway just a block away.

Great location and very good onsen. The Family Mart below hotel adds further convenience as well.

Very good stay and highly recommended. Not far from the center, has a gym (additional charge) and the coin laundry is not so far from the hotel.
