Having spent some time reviewing options for boutique hotels in Boston, we were delighted that we picked this hotel. The location was perfect, with most of the places we wanted to visit within walking distance, although we took advantage of the complementary chauffeur service on a couple of occasions. From check in to check out, the service was exceptional and our room, looking out onto the street was fabulous. Mooo, adjacent to the hotel proved a great choice for cocktails, dinner and breakfast.

At check in, we were welcomed by Anna. She was so sweet giving us intro to the hotel. Doorman to help us in & out everyday was a nice touch. Stayed for 4 nites in Mid Sep. Very comfortable queen size bed in a cozy room. Size was perfect for single traveler. If I had a partner sharing the room, I would upgrade to larger with king bed. Very quiet on 8th floor. Wouldve been nice to have a view but surrounded by many high rise buildings. Location was PERFECT! Easy 15 min walk to Fanuiel Hall, Quincy Market, with North End just a little further. Everything we wanted to see & do was within walking distance: Freedom Trail, Newbury St, Boston Common, and restaurants etc. Highlight was visiting the Mooo bar. Brian, David & Paul took very good care of us " particular" customers every evening. Very nice selection of tequila as well as other spirits. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that Moo was well known for good food, esp steaks. It certainly did not disappoint. Glad we made last minute changes to our dinner plans. Ribeye was delish; mashed potatoes out of this world; roasted bone marrow was fantastic as was the seabass crudo. If you're looking for an intimate stay in a lovely boutique hotel, with great service, unlike what u receive at mega hotel chains, this is your spot.

I went here last week for a girl's trip and had the best time ever! Check in was really easy because I took care of it from home because they sent a check in text ahead of time. My room was so beautiful and I loved the vibe. The fireplace is such a nice touch and makes the room cozy. I had plenty of closet space and enjoyed the comfortable bed. The shower had a rain showerhead, and it was the best showers of my life with amazing water pressure. The rooftop outside area is very nice with a pretty view. The gym was way too small, but I made it work. The staff is friendly and the whole stay was perfect.

We just returned from a four night stay at the XV Beacon and could not have had a better experience. We love finding a great boutique hotel, and can add this one to our list. We went to Boston for a concert, a game at Fenway, historical tours and great food....and really loved every moment of our time there. Such a fun city. The Commons suite itself was lovely with a very comfortable bed. Plenty of room to stretch out and while the pilot light was off for summer, I'd imagine it would be super cozy to have the fireplace on once temps dip this fall. Booking through AMEX included breakfast at Mooo, which was hands-down the best hotel breakfast we’ve had in a long time. The entire staff at the hotel and at Mooo was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The location on Beacon Hill is tough to beat—it’s within easy walking distance of so much, with a T station just a couple of minutes away for getting around the city. We also enjoyed having a nice Irish Pub, Emmett's right across the street and a nice Taco restaurant, Taco Azul right next door. We used a portion of our $100 AMEX credit toward the hotel house car for a seamless ride back to the airport. A total win-win-win. We'll definitely be back.

A great stay in Boston at the XV Beacon Hotel. The staff were amazing, helpful and delivered from the moment of our arrival to our departure. The room (304) was wonderful and the facilities exemplary - it was too good to leave. Highly recommend Mooo - the restaurant attached to the hotel - where again service and food were of the highest quality. Overall - a 5 star experience. Thank you XV Beacon!

I chose XV Beacon because of its good reviews and reputation as a premier luxury boutique hotel. As a boutique hotel, I expected a more personalized experience where the staff would be warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Unfortunately, that was the complete opposite of what we experienced. From the moment we arrived, our stay got off to a disappointing start. The valet, Frank, seemed to have a constant chip on his shoulder. He was unfriendly upon arrival, just as unpleasant every time we entered or exited the hotel over the next two days, and equally miserable when it was time to leave. His attitude immediately set the tone for what turned out to be a very disappointing stay. Check-in was no better. We weren’t greeted with the level of hospitality you’d expect from a luxury property. After settling into our room, we went out for dinner. When we returned later that evening and were getting ready for bed, I watched a mouse run from underneath the bed to behind the sofa chair in the corner of the room and behind the curtain. At approximately 1:30 a.m., I immediately called the front desk. The response was simply, “We’ll get you another room.” The matter was handled so casually that it gave me the impression this wasn’t the first time the hotel had dealt with something like this. If a guest reports a rodent in a luxury hotel room, I would expect shock, concern, and immediate apologies—not a routine room change. The following day, I spoke with one of the managers, Miriam. She told me this was the first time anything like this had ever happened. I found that difficult to brlieve with how casually the front desk handled the situation. She also asked whether I had photos or video of the mouse. At 1:30 in the morning, my priority wasn’t getting evidence—it was getting out of a room that had a rodent in it as quickly as possible. Later, I was told the hotel’s pest control company found no physical evidence and, therefore, there was nothing they could do. I understand they may not have been able to locate the mouse afterward, but that doesn’t change what I personally witnessed. The hotel itself is beautiful. The architecture is elegant, the location is excellent, and the property has a great deal of charm. Unfortunately, between the consistently unfriendly service and the rodent we encountered in our room, this was not the experience we expected. For that reason, I cannot recommend XV Beacon. There are too many exceptional hotels in Boston to risk having an experience like this.

Great hotel, nice rooms, great staff, bar and restaurant were lovely. Thoroughly recommend. Were there for a World Cup match, just the ticket and very central for all the main sights.

Superior service, friendly, clean, comfortable, and very accommodating. They also offer a car service for small-close routes for no charge. Great location to many historical spots, restaurants, and pubs. Easy to get to the south end and north locations. Boston itself was wonderful. Clean, beautiful areas, and we felt safe walking around everywhere, day and evening.

Loved the property and the room was gorgeous with a fireplace. The staff was wonderful! Loved the location ——- except the street was noisy. They put us in the front of the hotel which was beautiful but I would stay in the back of the hotel next time.
