Hotel Villa Malpensa

Honestly, the hotel, being a renovated old castle, boasts unique architectural features that are a definite highlight and worth seeing, especially as your first stop after arriving. The room's hygiene was also decent; everything was quite clean. The surrounding area is actually pretty quiet with no noise, probably because it's a bit secluded and close to the airport. However, if you're looking for good service, you won't find it here. If you call to order food and there's a miscommunication, the person on the other end will just hang up on you without even trying to help – be warned, they literally just hang up without a closing remark. For dining service, if you don't make it clear, they'll just tell you to order at the front desk; they won't send a waiter to take your order at your table. During my interactions over the past few days, the front desk staff and servers never smiled. They were all older gentlemen who looked a bit stern. Whether they come across as somewhat arrogant might depend on individual perception.

This hotel is very close to the airport and offers a shuttle service in the morning. The staff are friendly. While the breakfast selection is a bit limited, I do want to warn everyone that some rooms aren't very soundproof, so you can hear planes taking off and landing.

This room type is quite small, similar in size to budget hotels like Motel 268 in China. The good thing is it's convenient to the airport! The exterior is an old villa with some history, but the facilities inside are a bit outdated.
