The hotel’s striking ship-shaped architecture means only the two rooms at the bow have full, unobstructed ocean views. Other rooms offer partial sea views blended with lush coconut groves — and in the evenings, the Atlantis Tower to the west becomes a beautiful illuminated landmark. As a Hilton loyalist of over a decade, I've completely fallen in love with this property ❤️ 📖 First, the bottom line: I stayed at the Yalong Bay Hilton 15 years ago, but it was easily beaten by this trip to The Renhe (Hilton Sanya Haitang Bay Resort) 🥹. If you're coming mainly for ocean views and beaches, I wouldn't recommend Haitang Bay. The evening scenery and activities are pretty average, not as lively as Yalong Bay. There are some bugs on the beach and in the rooms, so you need to be mindful of that ‼️ Food options are somewhat limited, not as diverse as what you'll find in Yalong Bay. Yalong Bay also has those coconut ice creams I've been dreaming about; 💁♀️ The service is wonderfully comfortable. If your priority is a comfortable stay, you can book The Renhe without hesitation. The kids' activities are exceptionally rich—from customized children's room keys to the variety at the kids' club, it's unmatched by other hotels, and my child had an absolute blast. The water temperature at the 15th-floor infinity pool is very warm, and with some kid's floaties, the little one had a whale of a time. The children's water park is a bit small; there's a giant tipping bucket that dumps water, which hurts if it hits you on the head, so it's not very friendly for toddlers. The regular pools on the ground level are just okay; if you want to experience an adult pool 🏊, the 15th-floor one is a great alternative; 🏠 Hotel Location: Haitang Bay, very close to the Duty-Free Shop and Atlantis, and about a 40–50 minute drive from the airport. Room Booked: Ocean View Family Suite (2-Bedroom) with a partial ocean view. During the off-season, using points plus cash brought the total to under 4k. We arrived early and were checked in by 2 PM, which saved us just as the little one was getting sleepy, and we got a late checkout until 1 PM. The cartoon ice pops bought at the lobby were also delicious. Bottled water provided was Baisuishan, and they were very generous—when we asked for water, they just sent up a whole box; 🍃 Inside the Room: Two bedrooms with three large balconies. Sanya usually has very gentle breezes on the roads in October, but this October the weather was a bit too hot, so we didn't get to fully enjoy a comfortable sea breeze on the balcony, and the night view was just so-so. However, it essentially served as a small outdoor play area for the kids; 🍉 A welcome fruit platter and welcome toiletries set were provided upon check-in, and the minibar was complimentary for the first round. Our butler, Lingxiao, was extremely attentive; communicating and interacting with him was thoughtful and very comfortable, and we could reach out anytime if we had questions 👍 The hotel provides both thin and thick bathrobes, which is very convenient, and you can request extra amenities from the front desk as needed. Executive Lounge: 🥤 Afternoon tea is decent; the pastries and juices are a lifesaver against the scorching summer heat. We had hot dinner there twice. If you aren't too picky about food, it completely gets the job done. One of the nights they served roast chicken, which I thought was exceptionally delicious, and the lounge service was also very warm ❤️🔥 The breakfast venue is huge. Every meal featured watermelon juice, which the kids love, along with barista-made coffee. Their freshly ground coffee actually tasted great, with a rich layer of crema on the Americano. I highly recommend the Hainan noodles for breakfast—I had them three meals in a row, delicious every single time. The bread selection is also extensive, and there's a candy station that is a huge hit with the kids; 🍚 Caifeng Lou Chinese Restaurant: We ordered a-la-carte roast duck, sweet and sour pork (the 3-year-old ate a whole plate), and a side of greens. The food tasted fine—totally fine for a convenient meal when you're too tired to go out. Food delivery pickups are located outside on the first floor near the stern area, and they give you an intro guide upon check-in, which is much more convenient than having to ask around like at other hotels. 🍃 Next year, I'm definitely coming back to try the rooms with water slides 🛝. If you're traveling with kids, this hotel is absolute priority #1 ❤️

This was our first time visiting Sanya, and we finally chose InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay (Crowne Plaza Sanya Haitang Bay / IHG property - *Note: Translating based on the specific hotel name provided in the text '仁恒皇冠', referring to Holiday Inn Resort Sanya Bay*), which came highly recommended by our friends. We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my birthday, and to bring our kids to play in the sand and collect seashells. We stayed for a total of three nights and were very satisfied overall. If you are traveling with kids, want to relax and just 'lay flat' at the hotel without rushing around to various tourist spots, and prefer a relatively new accommodation, this hotel is a fantastic choice. We stayed from October 10th to 13th. The weather during these days was quite sunny, with just a brief passing shower on one day that cleared up almost immediately. The hotel facilities are quite new and extremely well-equipped. The room was very spacious, located near the 'bow' (ship-like architecture), offering a view of a large stretch of the ocean. There are 13 floors in total, and the 8th floor was quite nice. The sand on the beach outside the hotel is very fine. They provide complimentary beach toys, and the foot-washing stations are a very thoughtful touch. After sunrise, you can even find some small seashells. (We visited several other places and couldn't find any seashells, but ended up finding the best ones right on the beach in front of the hotel.) Activities for children are fully packed every day and vary daily. The highlight was definitely the bubble show, usually held at 5:30 PM. We went right on the day of our arrival, and the kids had an absolute blast. Fixed children's facilities include the Kids' Club (suitable for younger toddlers), kids' swimming pools (both regular pools and a water park), and the Fantasy Forest (a climbing area suitable for energetic older kids over 1.2 meters tall). The hotel's public areas feature various swimming pools, all of which are quite nice. Just a tip: avoid swimming at noon; it's much better to go around 3 PM or later. The sun in Sanya is quite intense, so make sure to wear plenty of sunscreen. The hotel food is also quite good. We had a buffet on Saturday, and the daily breakfast varied slightly each day. The taste was decent. The hotel also offers vacation photography services, which are quite good. You can select your photos yourself, and it includes a free drone video clip. In the end, I paid 100 RMB to select 15 raw photos. Lastly, a big shout-out to our butler! Traveling in the off-season, we were upgraded to a higher room category upon arrival. The butler's service was incredibly thoughtful; they arranged room decorations for our anniversary and birthday, and even sent us a small coconut, a mini cake, and a fruit platter. It's been many years since my last visit to Sanya, and this time I spent my vacation in Haitang Bay. I compared several hotels before finally choosing the Holiday Inn Resort Sanya Haitang Bay. I have to say, there's a good reason for the hotel's high rating! From the moment we entered the lobby to check in, the staff welcomed us with flower garlands, instantly putting us in a wonderful mood. Our room offered an unobstructed, direct ocean view, and just sitting there watching the sea every day without doing anything else was so relaxing. The breakfast was lavish, and the Executive Lounge privileges easily took care of both lunch and dinner. The welcome fruits, along with the complimentary drinks and snacks in the minibar, were endless—we couldn't finish them all, haha! Whenever we had any request, the staff did their utmost to fulfill it. All the hotel staff were extremely warm and professional. A special shout-out goes to our dedicated butler, Suanlafen (Sour and Spicy Noodle), who added us on WeChat a day in advance to arrange everything for our check-in. Throughout our stay, she provided meticulous, attentive service, responding to every request and even anticipating our needs before we even thought of them. We had an amazing time in Sanya these past few days, and the hotel was simply fantastic! I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Sanya.

This was the last hotel of our trip, and we stayed at the InterContinental Hainan Clearwater Bay Resort (Yanlord Crown Plaza), which is said to be the absolute ceiling for traveling with toddlers ⭐️ Although we only stayed for one night due to a tight schedule, missed many activities, and didn't get to fully explore the place with our baby, the actual stay and on-site experience were phenomenal~ Even better than our previous hotel~ First of all, the staff proactively greeted us and helped with the luggage 🧳 Of course, almost every hotel does that, but then a lovely staff member came over to put a flower garland on us. It was full of ceremony and made us feel like we were on a vacation abroad—such a familiar and delightful vibe, and our baby loved it~ Then we headed to the front desk for check-in, where a dedicated butler is assigned right away. We were super lucky to be assigned an amazingly wonderful butler—Polly. She proactively helped us upgrade our room type, thoughtfully explained all the precautions and hotel activities, and let us know we could reach out to her via WeChat anytime for any questions~ The baby even got a special, very cute custom card~ Next was checking into the room. The room is huge! The upgraded Executive Full Ocean View room has an incredible view—a 180-degree ocean vista, which is very nice 👍 The room was also clean and tidy with no musty smell~ The basic minibar and welcome fruits were provided, and they even offered Bvlgari toiletries~ We were truly satisfied with the room, especially compared to the older hotel we stayed at previously (though older hotels have their own kind of convenience, of course)~ Bed rails were installed in the room upon request, and since the baby's birthday is in a few days, we left a note when booking and received a complimentary birthday setup 🎉 As for the cake, it might have been cutting it close, but my gorgeous butler Polly still managed to request one for us, and it was delivered that very night. It tasted great too, and the baby loved it 💕 Next, let's talk about the hotel's recreational facilities. There is a Qilin Wonderland, but it's more suitable for older kids; our little one is too young, so the soft play area was a better fit~ The baby had a blast, and also thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon bubble party. There is a heated rooftop infinity pool; apart from the wind being a bit strong, everything else was great, and the baby played there for a long time. We didn't go into the public pool downstairs, so I won't comment on that. It's a short and very convenient walk from the rooms to the beach, but the sand at Haitang Bay is coarse—not as ideal for sandcastle building as Yalong Bay. The waves were just as strong as when we visited before, and the beach doesn't provide lounge chairs. In short, if you want a great sand-playing and beach-lounging experience 🏖️, Yalong Bay is a better choice~ The hotel's breakfast was pretty decent too, and the noodle soup was delicious. The dinner BBQ buffet was genuinely good, and all the mixed cocktails were tasty~ To sum up, our experience at Yanlord was fantastic. We will definitely bring our baby back next time for a more in-depth stay. My beautiful butler Polly was super amazing and extremely responsive—two thumbs up 👍

Our first stop in Sanya was the IHG Crowne Plaza, the ultimate "heaven for kids" and totally deserving of a 5-star review! From the moment we stepped out of the car, we experienced incredibly attentive service. The welcome flower garland and kids' room key card made it feel so special—the little one loved swiping their own card! Our butler, Coconut Tree 🌴, was super nice and extremely responsive; she was practically an angel. We booked a Luxury Select Twin Room, but the butler kindly upgraded us to a super spacious King Room on the 1103, and even added a complimentary extra small bed. The room was fully equipped, and all the children's amenities we requested in advance were ready and waiting. The room faced Atlantis, offering unbeatable ocean views. While the hotel's public areas aren't huge, they are more than enough to keep kids entertained. The 15th-floor infinity pool was quite windy at times, but stunning! The heated pool was at a very comfortable temperature, and the warm towels were a total lifesaver. Thoughtful family-friendly details are everywhere—truly living up to its reputation as the "ceiling" of family resorts.

Stunning property! This was the kids' absolute favorite hotel with tons of activities, allowing parents to truly relax. Towels and bottled water were provided in super generous amounts. Our butler, Polly, was lovely and very responsive, and we really enjoyed the complimentary travel photography session. We'll definitely be back!

This is my very first review on Trip.com, giving a big thumbs-up to this exceptional hotel and our butler, Hongshu. It’s a resort hotel where parents can completely kick back and relax while the kids have a blast. We hadn't even officially started exploring yet, and I was already strongly recommending it to my friends. Our 3-day, 2-night stay was an absolute blast! With all the indoor and outdoor pools and the massive kids' clubs, there's simply too much to do, not to mention the top-notch service. I usually hate adding people on WeChat, especially hotel butlers. First, because I don't really need extra services, and second, because most of them will ask for a positive review later on, which is a hassle for someone who never writes reviews. This time, I even missed the hotel's pre-arrival call and didn't add the butler initially. When we checked in at around 10 PM the night before yesterday, the front desk staff proactively informed me that they couldn't reach me and would send another friend request. She efficiently and patiently registered our IDs, prepared the special edition lanyard keycards for boys and girls (the Disney garden-style ones that you can actually keep), and I thought, "Well, this place seems pretty good. I'll just accept the butler's request tomorrow; besides, it's my son's birthday on the 5th, so getting a little room decoration would be nice." So, after a great breakfast, they even specially prepared lunch for us at the kids' restaurant. Between the infinity pool, the outdoor playground, and the Forest Wonderland playground outside the restaurant, the kids just couldn't get enough. The siblings even went to the playground by themselves, and the staff thoughtfully called me to confirm if I knew and agreed, which was so attentive. We definitely didn't get to play enough this time. The younger brother kept talking about Bali from his smartwatch these past couple of days, but for our winter vacation, I'm already considering bringing my husband and the whole family back to stay at Yanlord!
