Seercuo International Hotel

This is an older five-star hotel. While the facilities are a bit dated, they have everything you need and are very clean. Every staff member is attentive and enthusiastic. The restaurant food is delicious, and the prices are even better value for money than in places like Chuanzhusi. The location is right across from the cable car entrance, which is super convenient for being among the first to go up the mountain. The sightseeing shuttle is definitely necessary, and the hotel will help guests book tickets based on their sightseeing plans – then you just scan your ID.

This hotel is super close to the cable car, and they even threw in complimentary electric shuttle tickets for the scenic area, which was a fantastic deal. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and polite, always ready to help with any questions. I really loved this hotel and will definitely choose it again in the future.

This hotel is a bit old, but it's probably the best one near Huanglong Scenic Area. Of course, it can't compare to hotels near Jiuzhaigou. Huanglong is definitely worth a visit; its style is very different from Jiuzhaigou. The hotel is located at the foot of Huanglong Mountain, at an altitude of 3000 meters. The hotel thoughtfully provided medical oxygen bags, and the young ladies at the front desk were very enthusiastic and offered excellent service. The hotel even provided complimentary round-trip shuttle service to the scenic area, which was a very nice touch. However, there were a few things I wasn't happy about: the breakfast wasn't good, probably due to the high altitude – it was too simple. The old TV in the room could definitely be updated. Also, the hotel still charges a 200 RMB deposit. Nowadays, most online hotel bookings don't require a deposit, except perhaps some five-star hotels with minibars. Given that there are no chargeable items in the room here, charging a deposit feels completely unnecessary. I hope the hotel considers changing this outdated policy.

Facilities: The hotel's facilities are quite good, giving it the feel of a star-rated grand hotel. However, since it's an older property, some of the in-room amenities are a bit dated. Environment: The surroundings are beautiful, the lobby is impressive, and the restaurant has a nice ambiance. The breakfast is extensive, and the à la carte dishes taste great. Additionally, the hotel's location is excellent, parking is extremely convenient, and it's close to the scenic area's cable car, just a 300m walk away. Hygiene: It's clean and tidy. Service: The staff provides excellent service, patiently explaining precautions for visiting high-altitude areas, and even giving complimentary sightseeing bus tickets.

First off, a big shout-out to the front desk staff! They were incredibly welcoming and helpful during check-in, even letting us know about the hotel's complimentary shuttle to Huanglong so we could cancel the one we'd already booked. Later that evening, I experienced some mild altitude sickness, and the hotel provided an oxygen bag free of charge, which made a huge difference. The hotel's location is also fantastic – right outside is the official bus station, and the cable car is just across the street. However, the hotel's facilities are really subpar. It's one thing for the room amenities to be a bit old, but the air conditioning simply didn't provide any heat! I called engineering to take a look, and they said that's just how the AC unit was. They wouldn't move us to another room, claiming the hotel was fully booked (even though I checked multiple platforms and saw several rooms available). In the end, they brought a space heater, which was better than nothing. I spent the night in a room where the temperature hovered around 12-15 degrees Celsius. It was so cold I didn't want to get out of bed.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, situated just about 100 meters from the Huanglong Scenic Area cable car entrance. You can even see the cable car queue from your room window, and it's right next to the direct shuttle bus parking lot. While the hotel is a bit older and the facilities show their age, the service quality is top-notch. Our bus schedule was inflexible, so we arrived before noon, around 11:45 AM. The front desk kindly offered us a place to rest, then immediately cleaned our room, making sure it was smoke-free. We were able to check in just half an hour later! They even gave us complimentary scenic area shuttle tickets for the next day. The breakfast isn't a buffet, but it's very thoughtful. They prepare individual breakfasts for each guest, including watermelon, cherry tomatoes, simple pastries, pickles, cold dishes, and self-serve milk. Additionally, each table received two hot dishes, a large bowl of congee, an egg per person, and three small steamed buns. They even asked if we wanted noodles! We were definitely full and ready to explore. The bathroom also provided disposable toilet seat covers and bath tub liners. Each room gets five complimentary bottles of mineral water per day, with additional bottles available for purchase. All in all, I highly recommend staying here when visiting Huanglong; I'd definitely return on my next trip.

The room temperature in April was 18 degrees Celsius, with the heating constantly blowing hot air. It was below zero at night, and around zero in the mornings and evenings. The entire hotel didn't have the heating on. You have to eat breakfast quickly, or it gets cold, so bring extra layers. The window offered a view of the cable car entrance, and they even provided complimentary sightseeing shuttle tickets (cable car is extra). The bus station is conveniently located right opposite the hotel's parking lot. There's a free electric shuttle service provided by the scenic area between the main entrance and the cable car.

The biggest plus of this hotel is its super convenient location right next to the direct shuttle stop and very close to the scenic area's cable car entrance. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the front desk staff are warm and friendly. Breakfast was just so-so, but the hotel does have a restaurant where you can order off the menu.
