Hotel Hankyu Respire Osaka

I booked the largest triple room, but it was still a bit cramped and hard to open our luggage. Plus, the bathroom and toilet doors are sliding doors that face the head of the bed. If you get up at night, opening them makes a lot of noise, which could wake someone up. Also, the cleaning staff only emptied the trash cans. The extra trash I left next to the overflowing bin wasn't taken for two days. However, the location is absolutely unbeatable. It's centrally located for both Hankyu and Lucua, and easily accessible whether you use the underground passages or the skywalks. The only minor drawback is that the shops in this area don't open until 11 AM and start closing around 8 PM.

This is our second stay here, and the hotel's location is absolutely perfect for shopping, dining, and getting around. The service, cleanliness, and breakfast were, as always, impeccable. Check-in is self-service, but there's staff nearby to assist, and they even proactively asked if we were happy with our assigned floor.

The hotel is newly opened, so all the facilities are brand new. The 2F cafe downstairs offers a delicious breakfast set with coffee and a sandwich. There's a direct connection to JR Umeda Station's central exit via a skywalk on the second floor. The lobby on the 9th floor is also quite grand. Check-in, check-out, and luggage storage were all very smooth. Plus, Yodobashi Camera is right in the building's retail podium, which makes shopping super convenient.

I stayed on the 35th floor, the top floor, and the view was fantastic. The hotel has a great location, right above Yodobashi and next to Umeda Station downstairs. It's surrounded by shopping districts, making it super convenient for shopping. The room size was also good, with enough space to open two suitcases flat. There's a gym and a self-service laundry room on the 24th floor, which was very convenient.

The location is indeed very convenient, with easy access to dining, shopping, and everything Umeda has to offer. Check-in is after 3 PM. I booked a high floor, but the train noise from downstairs was quite loud; I was woken up every day between 5-6 AM. It's suitable for people who are sound sleepers.

I booked a high-floor twin room on the 34th floor. It was advertised as 25 square meters, but it felt a bit small, though I could still lay out two suitcases without a problem. The best part is its central Umeda location; the transportation is incredibly convenient, with direct access to the subway and airport limousine buses – absolutely no complaints there. It's surrounded by shopping districts, and the hotel reception is on the 9th floor. The 8th floor is a Yodobashi Camera food court, offering all sorts of dining options! It's super convenient to grab a meal after shopping. The only downside is how crowded it gets. They have 8 washing machines, but so many people use them daily that you might not get a turn even at 1 or 2 AM. I only managed to use the wash-and-dry cycle once for 150 minutes, but the clothes still came out damp. Electronic payment is available. If I come back, I'd definitely choose this place again – it's just too convenient!

Having visited Japan dozens of times, I've never stayed in a hotel with such poor hygiene. I've stayed in hotels ranging from 200-300 JPY to 2000-3000 JPY in Japan, but this is the first time I've encountered something so outrageous. As a long-time Ctrip user for over a decade, this is also my first negative review. The poor rating is solely for the hygiene; the location is indeed excellent and faultless. We booked a triple room, and all three beds had hair on them – that was completely unexpected! We found hair on the first bed when we pulled back the covers, but we brushed it off. Then we found more hair on the second bed, which was shocking enough. We contacted the hotel to change rooms, but they were fully booked that day, with only one other room available that had an odd smell. So, we decided to put up with it and switch rooms the next day. By this point, it was already midnight. We pulled back the covers of the third bed, ready to sleep, and found two more hairs in different spots. I was completely distraught and couldn't sleep at all!

The room was tiny. The lobby is on the 9th floor, and the hotel was hard to find. Everyone, look for it near Yodobashi Camera. There's access to the train and Shinkansen from the hotel's second floor, all in that direction. The service was nothing special; I didn't really feel any. The advantage of booking international hotels through Ctrip wasn't there – I couldn't find a good room for the same price. Even my Black Card didn't get me any special treatment. The convenience store staff downstairs were extremely unfriendly to Chinese people. I've lived in Japan for 20 years and rarely hear such public comments about Chinese people.

The location is unbeatable! There's a Yodobashi Camera, GU, Uniqlo downstairs, and tons of great restaurants on the 8th floor. The overhead walkways connect to various malls, which is super convenient for shoppers. Getting around is a breeze. Just a heads-up, you need to put a yellow sticker on your room's trash bag, otherwise, they won't throw it out for you. Behind that sticker, there's a larger trash bag to put your garbage in. My room on the 30th floor didn't have bottled water, but there's free water in the hallway – you just need to bring your own cup to fill it up. Given the amazing location, I can overlook the small room size, especially since I don't spend much time in the hotel anyway.
