The Basics Fukuoka

Paid 3,000 for two nights, a bit low on value for money, and a little far from Hakata Station. Everything else was pretty good. It's a stylish hotel with a convenience store nearby. Shopping and dining are all handled around Hakata Station, so it's still quite convenient.

The hotel is a 6-7 minute walk from Hakata Station, situated among office buildings, offering a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city. There's a Fuglen coffee shop just 100 meters from the hotel, where I had breakfast two days in a row. I absolutely loved the design and scent of the hotel lobby. The books on the bookshelf are available to borrow, which is a very nice touch. The room is relatively spacious and kid-friendly. Plus, the windows can open quite wide, and the great ventilation is a real bonus.

The hotel lobby is set up like a library, which is very interesting and beautiful! The room is spacious and comfortable, equipped with a sofa and a small table, making it very family-friendly. It's very close to Hakata Station, offering great convenience for transportation.

The room is quite spacious for Japan, doesn't feel like a typical Japanese hotel. It's about a ten-minute walk from the JR station, and the lobby is grand and impressive. The price also dropped significantly since the Silver Week holidays in Japan were over.

No breakfast included, but there's a popular cafe next door you can go to. It's about a 7-8 minute walk from the center of Fukuoka, and walkable to Hakata Station for shopping, which we did every day!
