based on 29 reviewsLocated along Hangzhou Bay in Shanghai’s Fengxian District, Jinshan City Beach is a man-made beach and recreation area. Separated from the bay by a retaining wall, Jinshan Beach is a nice place for a swim and provides a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of central Shanghai. There is a park just to the east with long walking paths and a nice garden atmosphere, offering great views of Hangzhou Bay. During the long summer months, this a great place for a day trip and mini-vacation.

Show More ReviewsWe arrived around noon and parked near Gate 5. The official parking lot was already full, but we could easily find temporary parking spots. The weather was perfect for lying on a mat on the beach, playing cards, or enjoying the breeze. After 3 or 4 pm, beach spots started to become scarce. Once the show started, there were performances and test shots to build atmosphere. The actual fireworks were magnificent – some were more dynamic than others, while others were grand and imposing, leaving us breathless and wanting more. Initially, there were many people and cars leaving, so if you're short on time, I suggest staying on the beach for a while before leaving.
