The check in was at 14.00, we arrived after 15.00 and our room was not ready. We were told to wait 10 minutes and went for a quick lunch. When we arrived after 20mins, our lugages were at the reception and the receptionist was not there. We were in a hurry to go for a booked trip to grand canyon so had to change our shoes there and leave our things. The hotel has no elevator. The hotel was not clean ( see photos) and there receptionist was barely there even though it says it has 24h reception. For example,I asked for the wifi password through wechat at 22.25 (as there was no one at the desk) and did not get a reply until 8.30. I payed extra for a mountain view. Please see the photo of the view. Very dissapointing and a windows that probably hasn’t been clean in years. The room was extremely small and difficult to walk in with our lugages. Besides, it was next to two families rooms and had kids shouting at 6 am both nights. They did not clean our room the two nights we were there, didnt even make the bed. Only thought some shower gel and towels. The location is great, I will give it that.

The place is a great value for money, very close to Zhanjiajie's National Forest Wulingyuan' entrance, although you can't expect the most luxurious hotel. The host was super helpful and communicative. He waited for us to check in after 10:00PM, but took us to another building 2 minutes further away. Our room was on a top floor and had no elevator, so we had to take our heavy luggage upstairs (this is a one time small inconvenience). The owner offered to help though. He was also very helpful and friendly, sharing tips for Wulingyuan and accessible in WeChat. That being said, the room was spacious and we were provided with amenities every day, as well as changing of bath clothes. The only thing I would change about the room was the bed, which was quite uncomfortable, like if there was no mattress.
