InterContinental Zhuhai

If you're skipping Chimelong and just looking for a relaxing holiday and exploring local spots, the InterContinental is your top choice. It's super convenient, just cross the road to reach Lovers' Road, and within a 20-minute walk, you'll find popular restaurants like Jin Yue Xuan, Tui Kee, Yong Xing, Sixteen Tides, and Hao Xuan Ge.

Environment: The high-rise, sea-view setting offers expansive views, a unique romantic vibe found only at Lover's Road No. 1 that truly holds up to scrutiny. It's worth experiencing just for the accompanying sea views. Facilities: The bathtub selection and setup are more comfortable than at the Guangzhou InterContinental. Hygiene: Upon entering, I noticed water stains on the desk, which wasn't a great first impression. Service: The service is significantly worse than at the Guangzhou InterContinental. All the major drawbacks of my stay stemmed from the service, from check-in to during the stay, and even at the end when they asked for a good review – it was all disappointing. There was a clear lack of quality and brand power in handling special situations and in the responsible follow-up and communication with guests. I didn't experience the level of service and professionalism that InterContinental should offer. They shouldn't slack off just because the environment is good. I hope for better performance from the Zhuhai Yanlord InterContinental in the future.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The cleanliness, as well as the hardware and software facilities, were all top-notch. They were also very accommodating when I had some last-minute requests due to unforeseen circumstances, even helping me adjust things and offering a complimentary drink voucher, which was a very thoughtful touch. I forgot to take pictures of the hotel, but here's a photo from brunch 😄, highly recommend it, it was delicious!

The harbor-front room with views of Hong Kong, Macau, and the bridge is absolutely amazing, offering an unobstructed panorama. The staff are very polite; the young man at the main entrance enthusiastically helped with our luggage and opened/closed car doors. The breakfast selection is rich and varied, and the seafood congee is incredibly delicious—a must-order every day. The hotel's location is just a few minutes' walk from Gongbei Port, making travel very convenient, and there are plenty of great food options nearby.

After trying three different five-star hotels, I finally decided to go with the InterContinental after a last-minute chat with the duty manager, Miya. She was so thoughtful and patient, even upgrading my room. I had stayed here earlier in the month and had a wonderful experience; everything from the cleanliness to the service was excellent. They sent up a lot of fruit, and the room itself was fantastic with a great view of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. I won't be trying any other hotels from now on; next month, I'm heading straight back to the InterContinental!
