Sheraton Haikou Hotel

Absolutely perfect! I initially thought it was an old hotel, but it completely won me over with its service and consistent quality. First off, there's the Kids' Creativity Park, offering all sorts of fun activities and photo ops for children. Secondly, I just found out it's part of the Marriott family of hotels. The staff were incredibly patient; I can't remember the name of the front desk attendant who helped us, but they kept my ID safe after I lost it, bringing me the joy of finding something I thought was gone forever. The Wi-Fi signal in our room was poor, but the 'little butler' (concierge) and front desk staff patiently came to our room multiple times to help us troubleshoot. The hotel is also very close to the beach, and you can even spot squirrels on the walk there. The kids had an absolute blast, especially with the sand bikes! It's truly the perfect hotel for families. I recommended it to friends the very next day, and they also stayed there for two nights the following Tuesday, reporting a truly excellent experience. Another plus is that there are lots of foreign children here, and everyone seems so happy and relaxed! Plus, they're very delivery-friendly; you can order anything you want, which is a huge bonus. It was a fantastic experience, and I might even come back for a second stay!

This hotel is absolutely perfect for a family trip, especially with kids! They have a fantastic outdoor water park for children, and if it's too sunny, there's an indoor 'Coconut Baby Club'. The hotel has direct access to the beach, so after dinner, you can take a lovely stroll along the shore. What truly made our stay memorable was seeing the beautiful sunset right from the hotel – it was so special! A big thank you to our butler, Joan, for all the thoughtful recommendations. We will definitely be back!

This was my first time staying at the Sheraton Haikou, and overall, the hotel was excellent. The location is superb, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the gardens are beautiful with many bird nests, making for great photos. Joan's service was impeccable. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time.

This stay was great! The hotel is clean and comfortable, perfect for families with kids. Our dedicated butler, Xiao Chen, was attentive and thoughtful, proactively sharing information about the hotel, photo ops, and children's activities, and always responded quickly. The overall service was detailed and warm. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Haikou. Highly recommended!

I’d been looking at this hotel for a while and finally booked it. It’s definitely a great option for families. What really stood out was the swimming pool, which is divided into several areas, and that’s fantastic! One area has a large water slide and operates from 1-5 PM on weekdays. On Saturdays and Sundays, it's open in the morning too. Then there’s a diving pool perfect for younger kids that opens at 8:30 AM, which is great for an early dip. And finally, there's a lap pool with lanes. So, it really caters to a variety of needs, which I found excellent. The butler service was also top-notch. They checked in daily to see if we needed anything or had any issues, and they were always quick to resolve them. Plus, when our flight was delayed today, they proactively offered a late checkout until 3 PM. We didn't actually need it, but the fact that they offered without us asking shows how thoughtful and great they are. The hotel also offers a travel photoshoot with 5 free photos. If you’re good at photography yourself, you can just pick those 5. Their photographers do a good job too. However, considering how hot it was, I felt a bit bad for the photographer, so I ended up choosing 5 extra photos. They even gave me one more for free, but the price wasn't cheap; 6 photos cost 200 RMB. Overall, it’s still a good deal. If you’re confident in your own photography skills, just choosing the 5 free ones is perfectly fine. They don't force you to spend extra; it's all optional, which is great.

The rooms are decent, but the real highlight is the numerous pools and the proximity to the beach, with plenty of beach activities available. However, most of the kids' activities come with an extra charge, which makes it less appealing than the Hilton Green Valley Hotel. The breakfast is alright, and the poached chicken at the Chinese restaurant is quite good. Ordering à la carte is generally more cost-effective. One downside is that the connecting corridors lack air conditioning, which can be quite hot in July.

The hotel's public areas are quite nice, and there's a public beach. We stayed in a sea-view two-bedroom family room, which was a decent size. However, the service was a bit lacking. For dining, breakfast was good, but the buffet dinner was just so-so. Overall, it's pretty good value for money. On another note, the complimentary travel photographer provided by the hotel took some excellent shots with great pose guidance. After seeing the finished photos, I couldn't resist buying a few extra.

This is the worst five-star hotel I've stayed at in recent years. The staff at check-in were incredibly surly; when I asked how long it would take, they just said they didn't know and I'd have to wait for notification. Many of the complimentary services the hotel advertises are just on paper. I tried to book a photography session, but they said it was full and couldn't be arranged (I tried to book it upon arrival, but the QR code provided by the hotel was incorrect and couldn't be scanned). The free drinks in the lobby were also empty in the morning. When the bathtub overflowed, they just said that's how it is and couldn't fix it. For many of the complimentary items included in my booking, I had to repeatedly ask just to find out where they were. It felt less like being a paying customer and more like begging for scraps. Honestly, it was terrible. I strongly advise against booking this hotel if you don't want to deal with such attitude.

Check-in took a while, but housekeeper Xiao Lei was proactive in coordinating and even asked for my child's shoe size to provide kids' amenities like slippers. Since I was traveling with a child, Xiao Lei also promptly arranged for the robot to deliver all our takeout orders, which was incredibly convenient and a huge help. The room was a bit of a walk from the lobby, but the housekeeper's service was very patient. Our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Definitely recommend!
