Suzhou Sun Plaza Hotel

The room was quite spacious and even came with a bathtub, which my child absolutely loved. The location is super convenient, right next to MixC World. Definitely good value for money!

This hotel boasts an excellent location. It's super convenient to get here from the train station via Metro Line 2. The lobby is on the 5th floor. You can easily walk to Qilishantang Street, Shilubu Street, Vientiane World, and Tianhong. Lingering Garden isn't far either. There are also two bus routes downstairs that make getting to Lion Grove Garden and Suzhou Museum very easy. The hotel facilities aren't the newest, but its prime location makes up for it. Aside from the carpet looking a bit dirty, everything else was quite good. We received milk and nuts upon check-in. While the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, the food was delicious. Perhaps because it was Chinese New Year, every staff member seemed busy, but some dishes and fruits weren't replenished in a timely manner.

The hotel's location is excellent, right outside the subway station. Turn right and you're on Shantang Street, full of places to eat. Turn left again and you reach Qili Shantang, also packed with food options. Being on a higher floor, the hotel offers a great night view of Shantang Street and even some of Suzhou's uniquely shaped buildings. The surrounding area is very convenient with plenty of shopping. The room facilities are also quite good.

I'm a regular at Sun Plaza, as my office is nearby and the transportation is convenient. This time I booked a standard room, which was upgraded to a family room. Everything else was fine, but I have two suggestions: 1. Please upgrade the hair dryers. The old models that require you to hold down the button are a pain. 2. The window seals are no longer tight, so on windy nights, you can hear the wind whistling all night long.

Facilities: The facilities are a bit old. Some power outlets were loose or didn't work. My 16 Pro charged overnight here and ended up getting damaged. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was decent. Environment: This is an older, well-established hotel in Suzhou. Its location has become even better since Vanke Place opened nearby. The environment is absolutely fantastic. Service: Service was alright, but I had to go downstairs to the front desk to pick up my food delivery myself.

This is my second stay at this hotel, and I chose it again for its convenience. It's super easy to get around, with a subway station right downstairs. This makes visiting attractions a breeze; Qilishantang is within walking distance, and other sights are easily accessible by subway. Parking is also very convenient, as you can access your room directly from the underground garage. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Suzhou.
