Banyan Tree Lijiang truly lives up to its reputation as a classic luxury resort. The garden design is elegant and offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the Old Town. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and meticulously maintained. Butler Aureliano was professional and composed, providing natural and effortless service. Transfers and reservations were all impeccably organized, and he even recommended some off-the-beaten-path viewpoints, which added many wonderful surprises to this trip.

I must give a special shoutout to Aureliano! He truly made our stay at Banyan Tree Lijiang so much more memorable. He is calm, meticulous, and an absolute pleasure to communicate with. He has a great sense of boundaries—attentive without ever being overbearing. Whether we were asking about the resort grounds, nearby sightseeing spots, or had last-minute requests, he responded promptly and handled everything flawlessly. You could really tell that he genuinely cares about the guests, rather than just going through the motions of standard, assembly-line service. A vacation at the foot of a snow-capped mountain is romantic enough on its own, but such heartfelt service makes it truly unforgettable. Five-star recommendation!

Following a friend's recommendation, I brought my parents to stay at the Banyan Tree Lijiang this time. The overall environment and architecture of the hotel are stunning, and the room we stayed in had a direct view of the snow-capped mountain, which we could enjoy right from the balcony. My parents were also quite satisfied with the overall stay! Perhaps because of the high expectations set by my friend's recommendation, I personally feel that there is still room for improvement in the finer details of the service, and it didn't quite meet my expectations for the Banyan Tree brand. This hotel is excellent! It's primarily composed of garden villas, offering a quiet, spacious, and secluded escape from the bustling city outside. It's perfect for a relaxing getaway. The service was also exceptional. Our butler, Aureliano, added us on WeChat a day in advance to understand our needs and was incredibly responsive to all our requests. He proactively checked in with us daily to see if we needed anything else, making our stay very pleasant!

The environment is good, but the facilities are terrible. For over 3000 a night, I didn't even want to step into the room; it was so rundown! The breakfast was like something from a tour group – absolutely awful! As a Ctrip Black Card member, I've never stayed in such a dilapidated Banyan Tree before.
